Since "Goosebumps Walkaway" Nick and Jess have barely shared any screentime together? Don't you mean since "Big News"? Gaping hole in the show.

Chris Messina kept me with the show way longer than I would've stayed without him. But this is Kaling's show, right? I see no reason to grasp at vindictive reasoning on her end. But either way, her show.
She has totally embraced the fact that she's… what do we want to call it… not typical amongst leading ladies? At least outwardly. I've seen her take comments like "it's refreshing that you don't feel pressured to be a size 2" and spin it into "thank you for being a hideous fat chick on TV, it's so unique" for…
He should probably trip over a seemingly out of place ottoman upon his entrance as well…
Yeah, and Jess was clearly looking to rekindle something with Sam this last time out. There's nothing between them right now.
This is by far Nick's worst season. Went from the best character to the worst. He's evening out a bit now, but a far cry from the amazing character he from late S1 into S2. I think I went 2 full episodes without laughing at a single thing he did a few episodes back.
Nah, the humor was bottom barrel. Utterly forgettable week to week. There wasn't any momentum whatsoever. Just dumb people staying dumb.
I'm honestly not sure he cheated on her anymore. It's such poor storytelling to just act like something that significant just never happened.
I wonder if the writers feel the need to reintroduce her to us to a degree. Like they want to reestablish her meddling tendencies, for example. Just last season (the JJ Watt episode) she supposedly learned a lesson about inserting herself where she doesn't belong. But she just shrugs it off again at the end of this…
She wasn't really blaming him though, was she? No lingering animosity or anything. I just saw it as 1, a quick reminder of what happened and, 2, a means of distancing Alex from what she did.
Well he's clearly a good looking guy. But something about his manicured stubble and overly intense eyes give him an air of creepiness.
Seemed pretty obvious to me, but then it was pointed out but another viewer that she may have just wanted to make sure April wasn't going to grab at the Avery millions. I'd forgotten about it by the end. Jackson didn't seem thrilled with it, but knowing how that couple works, they will get in some huge fight next…
Outside of being a bit aggressive in his pursual, he's not really been that bad. (Especially compared to how he was treated that morning). But coming back after what happened is pretty ridiculous. And the show certainly doesn't seem to be trying to paint him in a creepy light. Just an antiquatedly old fashioned…
I got the sense in interviews that the writers didn't want to have Nick grow too much too fast (prob why we're 5 seasons in and he's just starting to resemble a functioning adult). The result was Nick being a doof and Jess coming off kind of like a badgering mother. I still feel Johnson and Deschanel each have a…
It's weird since the creator of the show is sort of the model for Jess, right? Yet she just keeps getting bounced from bf to bf. As for the career stuff, she and Schmidt are basically where they've always been. They've each gotten the occasional promotion, but they've stuck to what they do. I suppose since they…
I kind of love the idea of Sam just not having any of their crap anymore. I know people thought Reagan was going to be some kind of new lens to look at the gang through, but there really wasn't anything her character offered that couldn't have been spread around to the main cast. Sam could serve as an outright (and…
Thing is, Walton should be great. And he wasn't awful the first time, but we've played this game before. We know he's on borrowed time, SSH what's the point? It's clear the writers are afraid putting Nick and Jess back together, but it ultimately feels inevitable in the end.
I actually felt the IQ of the show dropped about 50 points while she was gone. Nick chews sloppily? Hee-laroius!! He can't install a shower head? Of course he'll end up flopping around on the floor like a fish. It'll be great! If anything the show actually has momentum and direction again. I don't like the…
Anyone catch what Jess said on the porch right before she says 'eh, Nick will eat them'?
I thought Schmidt turning evil, Cece disappearing, and Coach being crammed back into the loft made S3 disappointing far more than Nick and Jess dating.
