So 2 network shows and 1 true comedy. This may be a different conversation, but at some point, don't awards shows have to start thinking about splitting Network shows vs. Cable/Netflix/etc.?

I don't know if I'd call it 'moving backwards', but I do feel like they're overstuffing their episodes this season. Almost like they have 25 minutes of stuff they try to cram into 22 minutes of show. (I really wish it had the freedom A.D. did on Netflix. One episode could be 30 minutes, the next 36, etc.) For…
Danny's dance was an A-. The rest… well… humor is subjective. Glad the fans finally got their A, though
Nah. For me it peaked at Mindy v2.0.
Glad to see Spader land on his feet after the ill fated Office turn. Can't say I love the show, but it seems he's been able to carry it while it figures itself out.
Mindy has become the show that's fans have to loudly 'insist' is amazing because most people who see it just kind of shrug. Which is too bad. It's not a top 5 comedy (or even top 2 on its on night and network) but it's certainly better than most.
Maybe it's not for you anymore. It's allowed. I'm sure if it was catered exactly to your liking, there would be different viewers wanting to jump ship. Personally, I wouldn't be watching if it were still like it was the first half of season one, but some folks think that's the was the show at it's best. The…
Again, it's fine where it is now, and my 'worries' are quite minor. But there are little things. Nick calling Jess 'Jessica', her calling him 'Miller', little things that some superfans seem to just love. Thing we got a dose of both of those in this episode. I trust things won't get out of hand, but I really hope…
Kind of wanted to give it anything but a B+ since that's what I gave the last one, but it is the correct grade. B+.
Nice to see Hannah Simone bounced off some other characters. I think Cece and Nick would make a great comedic pairing, but there is even less of their interaction that there has been Winston/Cece.
Probably going to have to go back and decipher most of what Jess was saying after she started tripping dead fish balls. Can't imagine it's all brilliant, but I got a kick out what I could make out.
It is one thing that only sorta kinda worries me about the show. The creators seem very, very aware of what people think about it. Hope it doesn't get to the point where they get too aware.
I think at some point all sitcoms turn to tropes to fill episodes. 24-25 episodes a season, you're bound to find some filler. It's kind of inherent. In the end, if it's done well, I'm on board. Sounds like you were laughing, right?
While it's impossible to look at him and not to see Brad, I think he's pretty funny. He's not the walking joke machine he was on HE, but he may have a chance to grow an actual character here. Apples and Oranges, I guess.
Oh, Fox can't be happy. But I reckon they aren't quite as upset as NBC is about their comedies. They must be surprised that Michael J. Fox and Sean Hayes have shows that aren't even cracking 1s at the moment. In fact, Parks and Rec only got a 1 this past week. Easily their best (and strongest ratings-wise) comedy,…
It's still a work in progress, but has loads of potential. But then, Mindy did at one point, too.
Think they're giving it one last stand. Give it time to put together a successful home stretch, hopefully let Glee/New Girl/B99 rebound a little in the ratings, and then drop Mindy into a position to succeed as the TV season ends.
I still haven't cancelled the DVR, so I usually end up half watching it at a later date. (I'll watch New Girl and B99 night of). This past week's episode I really did not enjoy despite the guest star barrage, which is too bad because I got a few legit chuckles last week.
Even the Grantland guys were kind of less than thrilled with Mindy this year. The idea was the Fox president building a comedy night that rivaled NBC's Thursday. Which, in a way, he has. As disappointing as the ratings are for Fox Tuesday, it is certainly stronger in the ratings than NBC Thursdays.
Of course the…
Don't forget, the key is clearly more screentime for Morgan.
