Bojack’s grown enough not to try to change her mind or throw a tantrum, but just sit with her on the roof and make the most of it before she’s gone

Ok =/

Honestly, I gotta say, Todd’s exhausted and resigned exhaling of the the ‘F’ bomb; “Fuck, man. It’s you.” from S3 is probably my favorite. It’s not said out of passion or anger or some deep-seeded animosity. Just clear, matter of fact.

When someone in Hollywoo says “fuck” to someone else, they, and the writers, want that sentiment to land.”

Sorry salty, you’re in the wrong on this one:

Downey’s position as a Giant Movie Star is odd at this point, because it’s about 95% based on having played Tony Stark, 4% Sherlock Holmes, and 1% the vague memories of his career before that. He’s a brilliant actor (when he’s not doing bizarre shit like Dr. Dolittle) but is he really a leading man type? I think we’d

The other guy from Pod Saves America is Jon Favreau... no not that Jon Favreau.

When I first heard their two names as Obama’s speech writers I was beyond confused.

I actually waited for a review of She Said, but it's still nowhere to be found on Jezebel. Weird, right? Why review a book written by women and about women if you can bitch that a man didn't write this book instead?

Yeah, even more closely it’s like getting mad at Spotlight for not telling the victims stories from their perspective (as I said in my comment).

YES. I mean, clearly Megan was just looking for a different book. I think the tone of this review really does an injustice to Ronan. This story is a fascinating look into the behind the scenes power, why this story had never been able to be told before, and what it took to get it out. I think the women’s story is

This is a really perfect encapsulation of what the book is about, and it’s not like books about reporting a story are a new thing. Somehow, I doubt that if a journalist wrote a book about reporting in a war zone, and how scared they were being in the midst of that, that Megan would complain that this somehow

It’s like being mad at All the President’s Men for focusing on Woodward and Bernstein instead of doing a deep dive on the Nixon presidency.

It seems pretty clear to me that in the course of reporting the Weinstein story - which was presumably first a piece for NBC TV, which by necessity morphed into a print article when it moved to The New Yorker - a second story started to emerge. It’s literally in the title of this book, “Catch & Kill.” Killing Farrow’s

It was about the process of getting the story published and the institutional bullshit that protected people like Lauer and Weinstein. I don’t think it minimizes anything about the victims, it’s just about a different-ish topic? It’s like being mad at All the President’s Men for focusing on Woodward and Bernstein

I have not read this book. But it sounds from the review that this is just not the book on the matter that Megan wanted to read. I’m sure, however, it’s exactly the book that Farrow set out to write.

The book is about NBC killing the story and Farrow trying to get it published.

Thank you so much for sharing this story, Prachi. This is the most incisive and heartfelt reporting I’ve ever read.

As a middle aged, first generation, Desi guy; this was eye opening. My condolences to you and your family. I am sorry for your loss. I want to write more, but I will refrain. I am going to reread this again as I have nephews, nieces and sons and daughters of friends that feel this sense of alienation.

[heart emoji] My brother went missing (presumed dead) approximately 18 months ago. After he went missing, my mom and I found some google searches on suicide and time spent on conspiracy theory sites. I did not reach out to him enough because he so rarely reciprocated and because he put on a brave face to the rest of

I think you are letting McQueary off the hook a bit. Witnessing something like that can no doubt rock you to your core, but once you settle down you pick up the fucking phone and you call the cops or fbi.
