I've heard that yellow is the original Ferrari colour – yellow was the colour of Modena, the city in which Enzo founded the company. But in the early years of F1, manufacturers entered in the colours of the countries they originated from, and so Italian racing red stuck.
I'd say, despite the yellow paint, it's a looker in something that isn't Ferrari red. It also bears repeating that it sounds absolutely fantastic.
I'd rather spend the money on a nice older S4 Cabriolet - it had the 4.2L V8 and looked amazing. Plus this A3 is still going to use Audi's FWD-based AWD system, so unless you're losing traction you're pretty much in FWD.
