Minor rubber banding can get you killed for stupid reasons. Like you thinking that you are around a corner, behind cover, or through a doorway when you're not.

In all fairness, Steam only tracks how long the game's process is running. On more than one occasion, I have exited a game, and the process was left hanging open.
