Metro-Detroit next please ...
To be honest, I miss being able to watch the morning news with my kids in the room. Now I have to explain all of this horrible when the news folks are just ... well ... describing what’s happening in our politics today.
I’d bet your couldn’t put two Brittax seats in the back of that without removing the front seats or the roof. Let alone the couple of booster seats a few of you guys would require now a days. Nevermind the best case scenario of having a max of 5 legal seats in that with seatbelts and what not.
Personally? Same reason my wife’s parents and my own got a minivan in the 80's ... their parents had station wagons so that’s what old people drove in their mind. (Plymouth Voyager Sport and GMC Safari respectively.)
This.
To do that they just need to start offering $12000 off instead of $18000 (Literally heard an ad on the radio saying 18k off on a new RAM driving to work today!)
The difference this time is that additional equipment was probably a few hundred bucks MAX and it didn’t really alter how the car was built. Slap an EGR and kill some horsepower sure, but it went down the same line 99.9% the the same. Upping the fuel economy that much requires drastic design changes. It’s not a…
My first thought too. The rounded greenhouse, big grille and body color mirrors. Also it looks like it has either a chrome bumper or chrome ends on the bumper given how the headlights are reflecting. I think you nailed it.
Tragedy of the commons. The minute one of the automakers decides to make the CA version of a car with $3k worth of emissions/efficiency stuff and subsidies it with the “Red State” version without ... the rest will have to follow suit or quickly lose massive sales in those states that don’t follow CA. Lose the $3k…
Luckily at that point she was on-board with picking up a new JK Unlimited!
Can confirm. Had an ‘01 Wrangler that I changed the clutch on about 5 years ago. Went to pop out the rusted nutserts that hold on the skidplate and trans and the bottom of the frame fell off and shattered on the garage floor! About 3 to 4 feet on both sides of the Jeep. My boxed frame instantly became an inverted U…
Is there a turbo that isn’t that way? I imagine Chevy’s will be the same. Need power? Up the boost and dump gas. Don’t? Back off the boost and let it nearly idle along. My 2.7EB does pretty well, and I drive the balls off it because I like to hear the turbos whistle :) Averaging 20.5 according to the computer, fair…
Remember that Tesla isn’t the only one working on electric vehicles. Chevy has the Bolt. Nobody buys it. Ford had plugin hybrids and electric Foci that nobody bought. Nobody bought them because of cheap gas. I honestly think the best course of action is to electrify the bigger vehicles. Folks in the US want crossovers…
I’m a parent, no teens yet but it is coming in a few years. I haven’t forgotten what it was like to be a teen ... I just grew up and realized that what seemed important then, really wasn’t. To be honest, it wasn’t that important to me at that time either ... I think I had it pretty easy as a teen.
I don’t think, I know. I bought a 2013 JKU new, drove it for 3 years and sold it for 6k less than I paid. I SOLD it to a dealer ... not trade in where they could make up the diff on the sale. I used one of those instant offer sites and walked out the door with a check.
I know this horse is probably dead, but when is a vehicle like this an SUV rather than a Crossover?
You know Greg, they say geniuses pick green ...
I had a similar death wobble ... no semis and didn’t crash. Don’t have to be riding crazy, but a little quickly. Mine was hitting a metro-detroit pot hole accelerating from a light. Nothing nuts, but front may have been a tad light. Violent death wobble, luckily I stayed in the gas and didn’t tense up enough to fall…
That Tesla is really fast, faster than the Trackhawk for sure. BUT, the guy driving the Jeep had a .500 slower reaction time that made the 2nd race look MUCH MUCH worse. Still would have lost no doubt, but wouldn’t have been nearly that bad.
Uh no.
