The flight attendant asked the passenger to hit him.

My father-in-law had his F150 stolen out of his driveway while he was warming it up. This wasn’t in MI but small-town Southern IN and in a really nice neighborhood. The best part is, it was his business vehicle with his name and phone number on the side in giant gold flake lettering. Later that day he gets a call

Seems a smart automaker would hedge. GM is building the Bolt & Volt. Ford has hybrids, with and without a plug. Toyota isn’t killing the Prius anytime soon. And so on and so forth. Slow down production? Sure. Slow down investment? Nah not much, probably shouldn’t at all. What do you do when oil prices go up

The NFL and NBA should just open up minor leagues for the kids that want to go pro and don’t want to go to class. Right now they are outsourcing their minor leagues to the NCAAs and that’s how you wind up with the North Carolina “paper classes” and UK’s “one and dones” that don’t go to class in the 2nd semester since

Business 101 ... don’t standardize on the platform developed by someone who has a better product but needs the infrastructure built out.

I grew up in the country and learned how to handle guns at a young age. It was simply no big deal. Also always had very strict rules about toy guys ... always had to handle them like a real gun and of course was never allowed to point them at people. Having used the guns on various targets and

Ride height + headroom due to higher greenhouse +more cargo room due to higher greenhouse + easier ingress/egress due to somewhat higher seat (but not too high ... CUVs are easier for most to get into. SUVs you gotta climb.)

Ride height doesn’t matter one bit for parking options. An Escape is basically a Focus ... with better visibility and it is equally easy to park, if not easier due to better visibility. They ride on the same platform and have essentially the same footprint.

What is that?

I’m no fan of Trump, but your comments made me giggle a bit. “Not when genocide happens” ... well using gas on dissidents and children counts in my book. What would you prefer he do? Continue talking? That’s worked out well.

I’ve always wondered if the Japanese companies withhold games from Xbox because it’s from an American company. They’ll never admit it of course ...

Living in metro-Detroit, I always thought it wasn’t the accident cost ... but the uninsured motorist and theft & vandalism rates that were higher in Detroit vs. the suburbs. Higher chance of expected loss or payout == higher cost.

Heck yea. The wife and I recently started getting Bota for our table wine. Much better price per glass and frankly we are drinking less wine this way. We rarely open a bottle without finishing it since we don’t want it to spoil, so that’s 2-3 glasses each when we open one while watching TWD or Legion. With the box

Honest question. Does this take into account the % of women that will take a significant time period off to either have or raise kids? I’m all for paid parental leave and am very glad that my company has it for both guys and gals ...

I posted nearly the same thing above .. you were first and worded it better!

The MPG difference is between a wagon and a crossover. People like crossovers because they have a taller ride height which usually == better visibility. Especially with sedan windows shrinking to satisfy safety regs.

It’s a whole lot easier to repossess a car and when that’s gone you can’t get to work. When you lose your job the rest is screwed anyways. It’s pretty hard to repo a house and there are various protections against it.

Not all acreage is created equal. Some produces more than others, some requires more and different equipment/fertilizer. It could get complicated ...

You personal situation isn’t everyone else’s though.
