I don’t know. I mean, odds of probability are yes, we should, eventually. But at the same time the majority of this country clings to Christian beliefs (even if they never practice what they preach) and God help you if you don’t believe in those.

IIRC, there is a difference between “mentally ill” and “criminally insane”. The courts don’t care if you’re mentally ill, they just care if you qualify as “criminally insane”, i.e. you did something without knowing it’s wrong/against the law.
