That was a suspicious looking lion.. There's no mane on top of its head. What's up with it's neck, does it have a thyroid condition, or is it supposed to look like something else? There is something fascinating about that lion and I'm consciously trying to find out what the unconscious mind sees. Freud once said

Shoot, even Malcolm Merlyn knows about it. I'm surprised he hasn't revealed it to his daughter. Why this is'nt a big concern to Team Arrow is puzzling to me.

Anyone notice that Brick is King Richard's henchman Gareth from Galavant? I'm surprised they have him use a gun instead of a sword. I'm not so sure Ollie could beat him in a duel to the death. Maybe they could have a sing off.

Yeah, the superhero learning curve is a brutal salmon ladder. Cool that the show is making Laurel climb it.

Is season 2 getting avclub coverage? The premiere was last Saturday and there still isn't a review yet.

ZZZ…boring. Even more so after I started watching Fringe on Netflix (where the hell have I been to miss that?!). The episode dragged… Great concept, but there was too much of a been there done that feeling about it. All the occult explanations reminded me so much of some of the bad techno-babble from STTNG that I

This show's a mess. I think the wheels are off the wagon. I guess it makes sense using soap opera logic. Let's give this a try. Abbie helps Ichabod fight off the angel mainly because Orion is into purging mankind's evil (with extreme prejudice) and grudgingly admits that maybe the Horseman has some good that can

Wisconsin sports fans have had many things to cheer for in the recent past: the UW Badgers, sometimes the Milwaukee Brewers and lately the Milwaukee Bucks. Take your sympathy and shove it.

I'm just impressed with the quasi Hans Zimmer soundtrack.

After finally finishing this show, here are my thoughts about this episode.

One little nitpick. I thought the Khazars, what the Khan called Yusuf, consciously decided to convert to Judaism, not Islam.

The show is struggling to fulfill the quota for sex and nudity. Unfortunately the writers aren't creative enough to make these scenes plausible. I think the writers are pretty good at giving the good actors in the cast good material to act, but are terrible at weaving in the carnal stuff this show was advertising in

Tasmeem makes you uncomfortable because her pupils are too far apart, almost to the far outer corners of her eyes. It makes her look inhuman and demonic.

After watching it the first episode, I'd say that watching it is like eating at a Chinese restaurant that you would only find white Americans eating at. Unfortunately even Mainland Chinese directors are starting to make the same type of tripe.

Yes, I agree with the reviewer in that they totally shortchanged the title character. On one hand, they didn't spend too much time slogging through Eurasia which was what I had anticipated. At first I was thrilled with their approach, but now the Marco Polo character has no depth.

I think a cynical and fun way to really create some buzz would have been to cast really black African-American actors in the Egyptian roles. Could you imagine Denzel Washington as the elder Pharoah? Cuba Gooding as Ramses? Angela Bassett/Oprah as Moses's mother? (Uh oh, wait a minute, how can Christian Bale's

Yep, this was a fun episode. Loved the ending with Slade Wilson\Crixus and Digger Harkness\Ashur ending up in the same jail together.

For all it's flaws I still had fun with this episode. Didn't see this type of monster coming, so that was a decent thrill. It was cool that the writers cleverly pointed out that we the viewers could see the monster, but if Crane and Abby saw it they were toast.

You may have hit upon something else. Brandon Routh is a pretty damn good actor who's thespian skills are head and shoulders above the rest of this cast.

Either it's my flu, or this episode made me a bit dizzy. It could be that the reviewer is correct in that this show could use better direction or use less dialogue to tell the story. The business with Ward's family and Bakshi's interrogation was resolved too quickly for it to sink into my mind. It's like the
