except that the Civic actually sells and has no quirks whatsoever

this whole post is about how this is basically a car that can haul stuff, as opposed to a more solid-framed traditional truck. in no way am i slighting this rig, i think it’s cool and a good idea.

i’m not disagreeing with you, i’m just not so sure that the Honda isn’t just as bad of an overcompensation mobile just because it rides like a car.

i guess i just don’t understand why it’s not a statement to buy a truck that feels like a car, but it is a statement to buy a truck that feels like a truck.

that’s like the full-size truck owner-iest thing you could possibly have said. amazing.

literally can’t make sense of what you’re trying to say.

Nobody said Jalops were enlightened. I consider myself a Jalop because I love cars. I’m sensible in the sense that I’d never buy a shitty car with no redeeming qualities, but I also just bought a Tacoma to replace a Volvo wagon. Why? ‘cause I love trucks.

Yup, one million stars. I just bought an access cab Tacoma, and cannot understand the point of a 4-door truck (unless it’s a long bed). Just buy an SUV if you want ride height but extra seats.

god that song, like ALL cake songs, really really sucks.

‘Cause full-sized trucks look and are ridiculous

not a chance in hell. if you want a truck, you buy a truck, largely for the truckiness, which, apparently, Honda stripped out of this thing.

Owning a car that’s pretending to be a truck is plenty of ridiculous statement making by itself.

Two things. One “created by the Democrats” is technically true, but also totally meaningless in today’s political world. In the Jim Crow days, democrats were the conservatives and republicans were liberals. So, it would be just as correct to write “created by conservatives.”

And people think earthquakes are scary?

I...really? Can you provide examples? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I just can’t recall hearing Vin say dong.

you’re not gonna get the credit for this you deserve because people can’t read, but bravo.

Dammit Jalopnik, I don’t come here to read about public transit. I come here to forget that I should probably be using public transit

Also, doesn’t the DMV, or whatever it’s called in Texas, have a fingerprint on file? They do in CA.

oh lord, another one of you “free shit” spouting idiots.

market fetishists are the fucking worst
