Some folks are more sensitive. I don’t really notice my wife’s smoking all that much anymore (sometimes) - after 25 years together. However, I once sold our car and one of the potential buyers immediately noticed the smell of smoke in our car - even after a complete and thorough detailing. I couldn’t smell it.
