Were there no deserving monuments which highlight the historical struggles of Asian Americans or Latinos that were equally deserving? A new national monument dedicated to the internment camps, or perhaps one highlighting the brutality of the Zoot Suit Riots?

I understand that point but this is not about Muslims or Islam but rather a political figure who would segregate anyone by race.
