Absolutely nothing should be locked at 30 FPS, ever. I get the lift on a game from that era which likely has a ton of logic that’s leaning on the render loop for timing would be considerable, but that’s an excuse, not a justification.

I mean, yeah, Konami can say whatever they want. Doesn’t change the fact that this “collection” is comprised of extremely half-assed ports (MGS1 apparently isn’t even a port, they’re just emulating the PS1 version straight up).

Now, any chance they can discover the old Sierra/Monolith game No One Lives Forever 2 actually belongs to them now? Probably not, but one can wish the game could be remastered or remade...
So we’re getting a sequel to Hexen and Lost Vikings when
Same with all the old Sierra Quest games.

Don’t forget Battletech and Shadowrun. MS owns the videogame rights to those IPs.
Sure sounds like a typical AAA game. I hate how “ambitious” has seemingly come to mean “the same generic crap, but bigger”.
Sony:
Remaster != remake. I seriously doubt Bethesda is remaking Oblivion. That would be a ton of work (and therefore expensive). A remaster would just be increased render resolution and framerate, better AA and texture filtering, maybe higher-res textures, proper widescreen support, etc. Basically updates and enhancements…
I doubt it. More likely they saw/read someone say something mean and someone (coughex-eaceogough) is just trying to garner some sympathy. Lack of details makes it suspect.
This absolute dogshit, greedy policy put together by sickeningly rich asshats will surely work to hurt or outright obliterate smaller devs. Those are the people who should be pressured or, dare I say, threatened. Go after the rich.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Nintendo testing out the waters to see if a true F-Zero game would be profitable.
Y’know what? I’ll take it! Stir up some interest in F-Zero, hopefully.
Also they hopefully don’t make this a limited thing like they did with Mario 35 for some reason. I still miss that game.
Update: Streaming using Greenlight from my series x is flawless.
I have the top tier one. And yeah - it’s a beast of a handheld. But it also came out a year and a half ago and thermal management will always be a factor even beyond straight-up processing power. The specs for Starfield are going to test desktop rigs, so I certainly never thought the deck would have an easy time with…
Wonder how streaming is though. Both direct from your home Xbox or through xcloud. I plan on testing this.
Meanwhile, I’ve played 80 hours of Baldur’s Gate 3 on my Deck and have been having a wonderful time.
