Makes perfect sense. They want to replace the older higher paid engineers with engineers fresh out of college who will works 70 hour weeks for half the price. That is why it is only open to employees who have been with the company for 12 years.

You can import a car from Canada that is less than 25 years old as long as the manufacturer will attest that it meets all US requirements. So basically any car that is sold in the US and Canada. Basically this rules exists for people moving from Canada to US so they can bring their car with them.

While this is cool. One of the things I don’t like about these tuner vehicle over the factory jobs, is that you don’t get upgrades to the rest of the drive line. That is a lot more power for the transmission and rear end to handle. Only only do they need to be upgraded to handle the power, there is a lot more cooling

I’ve had a car with a backup camera for about 5 years now. I realized the other day I never look at it. I just look at my mirror, guess that is a hard habit to break. I have recently been trying to make more of an effort to use the camera.

Reminds me of the Maercedes E Class commercial years ago, that showed an airbag fault on the dash.

The other day my psychiatrist asked if I ever have any hallucinations. I told him it would be nice if I did because it would really explain the news lately.

This is why I wish we did economy based on consumption like we do in metric countries. Something like gallon per 100 miles.

The first vechicle I bought that wasn’t a crap wagon, I bought when back in 2001. I didn’t have much credit history and didn’t make a lot of money so I was a sub-prime borrower. I paid $10K for a 2 year old truck and financed it for 5 years at 10%. I paid it off in just under 4 years and drove it for several more years

I’ve been saying this for a long time. I’m in my late 30s and I daily an SUV because it is easier to get in and out of. Especially when my knees are acting up. I also have a Miata, but it is so low that is is rather a challenger to get in and out of.

I get them all the time too. Aparantly there is a lot of demand for high milage Durangos with a scratch on the front and rear bumper and a weird stain on the headliner.

I care/don’t care about climate change. I’m not going to have kids and by the time climate change becomes a big problem, I and everyone I know will be dead. So it dosen’t bother me that much. That said I don’t want to totally trash the earth either. So I make small changes that help. I recycle. I traded by gas

<Hank Hill>Damnit, Dale. We live in Texas where it is 110 in the shade. If it gets one degree hotter I am going to kick your ass.</Hank Hill>

Anytime I fill my propane tank, I keep the windows down and go straight there a back. One of the few times that I miss having a pickup truck.

While Detroit is not my first choice, I’d rather live in Detroit that NYC. NYC is just too big for me.

Man I personally would have driven on the half mile on the flat to get off the highway. Sure you might damage the wheel, but better than getting hit.

I was in my Miata when a bro dozer ran a red light. He missed hitting me by inches. Had I been a half second slower, I’d likely be dead right now. I for one would welcome similar regulations in the US.

$53k for a Jeep. Holy cow cars have gotten expensive.

My guess is they don’t allow it to be part of their compensation. Sure they could buy it on the open market if they wanted.

You know, now that I think about it. I’ve never seen Trump and Musk in the same room at the same time.

I am envious that you got to visit the Maritimes in the summer. I was up there a couple of summers ago and it was glorious. Sometimes I think about buying a summer house house up there. Then I remember that I can’t afford things like a summer house.
