I’ve ridden in a CTS v-sport and it is nice. This is so tempting. However I’ve got about 6 months of payments left on my current car and I really don’t want to start over with the payments. So think I’ll slowly walk away from this one.

My house has astroturf in the back yard. The annoying thing is that you have to either sweep or vacuum it because of all the leaves and other debris.

When I was younger and had more free time I used to enjoy haggling. It was a sport and I found it entertaining.

I went car shopping with my parents over the weekend. A Nissan dealer had a $70 charge for nitrogen. I pointed that out and the salesman gave us his BS about why nitrogen is better. Both me and my dad are engineers. We laughed.

I agree I used to have an E36 BMW and I found it very easy to work on. Everything had a flow and it made sense. Especially compared to the American cars I was used to working on. Like on the old Fords I had. Every accessory had to come off to remove the water pump. I always wondered what they were thinking when they

I’m a software engineer, and it is the same way. I’ve met so many developers that can’t troubleshoot their way out of a paper bag. I put myself through college fixing computers and on working the help desk. I’ve found the troubleshooting skills I acquired to be invaluable in debugging my code.

You should start one of those projects and write about it. Sure if it is interesting enough you could get it published on the front page.

I wonder why GM didn’t use the 4.3L V6 instead. I’d expect it to have more torque and thus better suited to a truck application.

I’m kinda surprised the fuel economy is not better. I have a AWD Pentastar Durango with the old 5 speed transmission. I average 20 in my mixed driving. On long highway trips it is not unusual to see mid 20s.

A single rail. Like a monorail?

I for one am glad that they point out they are using real people. Because I assume that everyone on TV is a Cylon. It is safer that way.

A few years ago I got my truck inspected one morning. That afternoon I got pulled over because I had a brake light out. Guess the guy did a real through job.

I quit working on my own cars about 4 years ago, I was in my early 30s at the time. I was working a stressful full time job and trying to start a business. I decided that what little free time I have I would rather spend enjoying my cars than working on them.

Nothing makes you feel like an idiot like locking your keys in the trunk. I’ve done it twice. For some reason my brain decided, hey instead of putting your keys back into your pocket, lets put them under your stuff.

I enjoyed this season of Top Gear. It felt like some of the early seasons of New Top Gear. Not prefect, but I was able to escape from my day for an hour. I think it will take another season or two for the hosts to make the show their own, but they did a good job this season. I am a bit divided on my feeling. On one

This guy has put a quarter million miles on a Lamborghini, and to think I didn’t drive my 10 year old Miata today, because it might rain.

The Durango is just a stretched Grand Cherokee. From the description this sounds like a Pacifica with big wheels.

I had a 1985 4 wheel drive Ranger, bought in 98 and sold in 2001. It was a regular cab long bad 2.8L V6 with a 5 speed. I miss that truck. I bought it at 150K miles and sold it at 220K miles. I sold it because it wouldn’t hold compression in 2 cylinders and I needed something more reliable to get me to my college

We had a boat with a Chevy straight 6 that did this. While we were on the lake pulling a skier. That was a bummer.

One of my favorite pastimes is getting hammered at airport bar. Nothing better than flying while drunk. Bonus points if you can do it on an expense account.
