+1 about the Avalons. My 2001 was probably the best car I ever had. 30k miles per year for 3 years and it barely had any trouble, sold it to my BIL and he totalled it in 6 months.

Agreed on that dash. Still razor edge though. Just looks like the mesh on an electric razor. But the first thing I thought was early 60s European vibe (except the screen of course). I REALLY like it. Lower glass lines FTW.

The side post batteries were invented so the stylists could lower the hood and front valence heights.
All they needed to do was to mount that glass in a power assisted spurving bearing translated in a semi-boloid slot, problem solved.
