For $4700,  one can find a lot funner car to drive, like a C4 Corvette.

Correct. Yes, cars can be a status symbol and a reflection of ourselves and all that, but they are still tools that serve a purpose. He’s looking at then merely as investments, which is nonsense. Automobiles are not investments that are going to ever give you a tangible, quantifiable return.

Hell hath no fury like a white person mildly inconvenienced.

“Eshelman also developed an interesting safety innovation that utilized a car’s spare tire as a sort of “crash absorber” bumper.”

They were leasing Cavaliers for $200 a month in the 90s. $450 for a $40k truck seems petty reasonable, especially because you get to get rid of it just when things start to go bad.

I sold cars until this year (perfect timing)  and when I would ask buyers what their target payment was, the answer was generally $200-250. So, yeah, buyers have no idea of how leases, or math for that matter, work.

What I want to know is why the asshole who paid for that airplane to fly over the race hasn’t been doxxed.

I make ghee instead.

If you’re gonna drive an ugly $50,000 car, why not just get a Camaro? At least you have a rumbly V8 and an extra 73hp...

Why did you ever think that Trump would have been good for our state or country?

You’re talking about a car designed to handle 650hp and long days at the track and you think some viagra-popping schlub with a few hundred extra bucks is gonna break it?

Why not? Currency is only tied to hopes and dreams anymore. It's an infinite resource.

You’re blathing...mostly.

The 84 Corvette was faster than Ferrari and Porsche when it debuted and the chassis is quite capable-a Z51 in 84 pulled .90g on the skidpad while the aforementioned competitors were in the low to mid .80 range. At that time, .90g was the highest ever recorded by Car and Driver by a conventional car.

The C4 ushered the Corvette into modernity and was a truly world-beating car. If GM had kept on with what they were doing with the C3, it would have developed into a bloated coupe and not a true sports car. The C4 had clean lines, a rock-solid engine (well, maybe not the LT1), and is a performance bargain. I don't

I’m working from home for now, so I just go run the Vette around the block a few times before I log in.

This is a scenario where I understand the anti-vaxxers' position. Are you comfortable with a vaccine that's been rushed to market, especially under pressure from an administration who doesn't handle failure well and is also bidding for reelection? I'll stay home and wash my hands a little longer, thanks.

I have many UAW-built products, so yes, I would take one.

But, but, socialism is bad, m’kay?
