I love knowing that the Trumps will never be sincerely welcomed by the other presidential families. The most they will ever receive is a fake half-smile, just enough to be considered minimally socially acceptable, and no more.
How many interns is she going to have? What is her budget for paying them? Does it come from her own pay?
$15/hr won’t go far in DC, but finding a roommate is better than finding a second job. Maybe these interns could split a few apartments together, at least until we can get this bullshit straighten out.
51 percent of Republican senators and 31 percent of Democratic senator paid their interns
Still a step in the right direction. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good
Can we discuss the perfection of Baguette’s IG bio? Because....
Bonjour, bitches!
I’m the spirit of Mariah, in the body of a bread.
I read it as an attempt to allay any criticism or idea that the women in the village would be on some sort of “welfare”. The village has been built for them, apparently from outside funds (government or charitable organization), so promoting the idea that they will become self-sufficient is a step in that direction.
Seems like a reach.
Seems like just a rough colloquialism... like saying “Robert is kept busy by working at First Freedom Bank during the week and enjoying family time and fishing on the weekends.” It’s a pretty stuffy turn of phrase, but I don’t see anything wrong with it... anything involving farming really does seem to keep people busy…

two things:
I’m not sure how many millenial men would openly admit to having regressive beliefs about splitting domestic work when both partners (in a hetero pairing) work full time, but I 100% have experience with millenial men who preach gender equality as much as possible but do jack shit around the house & with their children …
So, another State Funeral that the sitting POTUS won't be allowed to attend?
You do understand she is not an Evangelical anymore, right? I’m also an ex-fundie and while I think Perry still has some issues to work through, she’s pro-choice, pro-equality (she’s even commented with horror on the prayers of her youth against homosexuality), and has a lot of other very liberal leanings she’s very…
But you were raised in it like she was so we should assume you are a nutjob anyway, right? Same as you are doing to her.
That coupled with the fact that she used to do Christian music and I was OUT.
I think possibly both --- I think he perhaps doesn’t on how much he knows as to give his guest room and ability to explain, and he probably is slightly less fact educated than perhaps the people we’re used to interacting with. I come from a family that values factual knowledge highly (like both useful and useless…
Eff that forever and ever, the Amish are horrible animal abusers and not nice people.
My guess would be that he is professing ignorance so as to not alienate listeners. If you have someone on and say “god, some people don’t even know what unions are, honey, do you believe!?” then people who would otherwise be edified will get defensive and turn it off.
