A+ troll. Would read again.

Amen to that. So many of the practical questions facing everyone day-to-day have roots in the unanswerable questions that have been keeping people awake at night since the dawn of time. Most of these seem to end up looping back to “what is the purpose of our existence”, which means that we probably aren’t going to

Of course. But, back to the two questions, what would you estimate/guesstimate for those? No need for decimal place accuracy, just yes/no, and if no, round to the nearest ten percent.

Gizmodo has daily quotas to fill?

Serious follow-up questions.

“Socialist” nations in Europe have a lot of extra money floating around for social programs because a certain other, large nation in North America does their military spending for them. If Europe was “on its own” militarily with Mr. Putin next door, I guarantee that there would be a lot less money pumped into social

Good point. Also, the fact that the media has everyone utterly fixated on Trump seems to me like “the plan.” Trump is not THE problem. He is the RESULT of all of the problems we are not currently addressing because everyone is focused on Trump. If we keep down this path, we are going to look back at Trump in 10-15

Got a link? This sounds humorous.

Grow up.

TrackPoint for the win. That combined with the 3-button config is amazing for everything from CAD to web browsing. I don’t understand how anyone gets by without middle mouse button functionality.

Now now, the TrackPoint nub is the best part of Thinkpads. I have been using it for CAD and just about everything else in and out of work for over a decade. TrackPoint + 3-button setup is fantastic in CAD, and especially on airplanes where arm-movement is sort of limited. I guess I just never got the hours in with

In this new law, how does it handle the TIME of consent? As in, does this only apply to pictures that did not have consent at the time of their posting? Or, can consent be withdrawn at a later time for a picture that was posted with consent at an earlier time?

The letter certainly says what it is against, which is easy, but it does not say what it is FOR. As in, how exactly do we address PPGMD’s question, which is important?

Robots marauding the streets, grabbing random people and forcing them to view ads. Sounds about like Google’s utopian vision.

*Yawn*

Yup. Even if people want to deny human nature’s uglier elements, it’s even crazier to think, “well, yes, censorship has failed spectacularly every single time it has ever been tried, but we will get it right THIS time!”

We are dealing with an ages-old problem. Most people are either unwilling or unable to discern the truth when presented with lousy information that happens to align with their own biases. Expecting Facebook (or Twitter, or Google, or any other similar medium) to somehow become the perfect arbiter of truth is wishful
