I feel you. I can’t imagine how bad it must be in France, as well, where being impossibly thin is still seen as the norm, even as diets and habits change and people get bigger.

You take that back about Ultraviolence! I mean, it was dreary, but I was really depressed that summer and it was just the right level of dreary for me.

This isn’t a law regulating women, though, it’s a law regulating advertising. Women can still go look up all the sexist ads they want, if they choose, they just won’t be blasted with them as they walk down the street. (And neither will young girls, who didn’t choose any of this shit.)

As if that man has ever seen a salad. Vegetables are for queers! He dines on canned meat and cocaine.

Yeah, she’s a hypocrite. If anything, going around with flawless skin and pretending it’s not the result of makeup just makes it harder for those of us with imperfect skin to go without makeup, because we look like swamp monsters in comparison.

I know this is trolling but as a resident of the UK, this made me burst out laughing. Something about the indignant ‘nor should they’ suggests a very stiff Victorian lady who doesn’t wish to speak of the uncouth North.

As the replies show, I think it’s definitely not yet clear whether coed or single-sex schools are better for academic achievement. What I can say, from the many men, including my partner, who I know from single-sex schools, is that they tend to be very ahead academically and veeeeeery behind socially.

This is distinctly unhelpful, but my answer is NONE, because I just don’t *get* tinted moisturiser. If I’m taking the time to put anything on my face, I want it to do something! As someone with oily skin and occasional redness, tinted moisturiser just tends to make me shiny and sit on top of my skin, drawing attention

This is distinctly unhelpful, but my answer is NONE, because I just don’t *get* tinted moisturiser. If I’m taking

I don’t get why everyone is so hung up on the pass idea. They’re not flying for ‘free’, they’re using one of their forms of employee compensation. Why does that excuse the utterly arbitrary and sexist rule? As if anyone knows they’re ‘representing the company’! As if flying United is a classy experience that demands

Massively late reply, but I’m a Londoner, so hit me up if you need tips on ANYTHING at all!

Late reply, but, I’ve been A in that situation. Worse than persistence, actual assault. My friends generally came round to it, but still tiptoe around the issue- even my best friend went to a party where the dude was, and made polite conversation for hours, because ‘it would be rude’ not to. I was furious. People will

Huh, this bill sounds like an actual...good idea from a Republican legislator? Could it be??

I like your answer and agree with your logic. I just couldn’t do it. It would haunt me and shatter my mental health, rather than galvanising me to fight.

I feel like many British cooking shows are more class-conscious than their American counterparts? Like, there’s often at least lip service paid to using cheaper ingredients, price per portion, etc. Whereas some US shows revel in the fantasy of using very luxurious ingredients. I like both, but it’s an interesting

The NAACP are too busy fighting Trump over BS? What in God’s name are you talking about?

Am I incorrectly reading this as sarcastic response?

Maybe men should start taking out Man Insurance to pay out whenever they commit horrible acts in the name of ‘boys will be boys’

Of course, you’re not using the entire bottle of Kahlua or the tin of espresso on the cake. Reading this, I literally thought the cake ITSELF has cost $60, when it seems more like...$25?

I’m a baby (wannabe) lawyer and volunteer with a legal support clinic, and we get a LOT of people coming to us who have paid fraudulent solicitors and now have no money for a real one. Often their cases are so simple that an untrained monkey (me) can walk them through filling out the relevant form.

What I’m getting from this is that someone watched the Black Mirror pedophile episode and went, ‘Yes. This is the reality show that the world has been missing.’
