What liquid liner are you using? I think pen-types, like the Stila or Kat Von D or Ardency Inn ones are easier all around. Keep the pressure quite light- if you press hard, the edges will bleed, and use confident smooth strokes. I usually do one stroke above the lash line (depending on the thickness I want), then fill

I love the Bite Beauty pencils! They’re so damn comfortable and smooth, and I find they wear off in a really subtle way- as opposed to cakey liquid lipsticks, which sometimes flake off and it’s much more obvious.

Tbh just replace the boyfriend, that is unforgivable.

I mean, I would actually say Beauty Bakerie is a little TOO good- in that I definitely end up taking a bit of my lips off along with the lipstick! How do you get it off? Currently I go with coconut oil, a kleenex, and vigorous scrubbing, because I’m loathe to shell out for the remover pads...

It tends to be a mix of rap, trap, and drag queen singles. E.g. Kanye followed by Alaska Thunderfuck- it’s the right mix of beats and attitudes to get my ass moving.

I can’t believe I’m actually awake late enough in the UK to participate in SNS for once, yay!!

I mean...why is it Uber’s business to improve the lives of women in Saudi Arabia? Why are we not calling out every corporation (all of them) that are complicit with shitty governments and their shitty laws? This feels like a misguided take to me.

I was in Rome, in the same university as this girl. I don’t know if you did an American study abroad, but many of my US friends had a mainly American group of friends and an American campus to study at when abroad- whereas I was just alone in a huge Italian university, not at all in the center of town.

Thanks to her, I’ve gone from never using highlight (or doing contour) to packing on the glow every day. Still haven’t quite got the hang of contouring, I think it’s not quite for my face shape, but I did my nose today and I think it turned out ok!

Check my grey reply to PleasedontFeedTheKendra- just a regular, relentless barrage of shitty boring sexism.

I lurrrve Nikkietutorials. None of her looks are really that practical for real life wear, but she’s delightfully kooky, and I love her love for drag queens and glitter all day long. Plus her snapchat tutorials are hilarious and great for costume parties!

Weren’t you passionately defending Woody Allen on here a few weeks ago? A lot of people were giving you a pass then, as a normally level-headed and not troll-y commenter, and yet here you are again, defending Johnny Depp. Weird.

It basically ran the full gamut. In daily terms, I was catcalled basically every day on my walk to university- sometimes at 8 am, once by a group of young boys, which was especially sad. There was a group of old men who would sit outside all day and drink coffee, right by my apartment building, and whenever I walked

Obviously this sort of awful violence happens to women all over the world, but it’s really fucking me up that this girl studied at the same university I studied abroad at in Rome, and was killed blocks away from where I lived. That was the year of the most unrelenting and dehumanising sexism I’ve ever experienced, and

A much better take on this would be, will Depp’s *white victim* be believed much faster than Bill Cosby’s *black victims* were.

Hey misogynist piece of shit, shout out to the misguided or equally shitty person who ungreyed you! Lovely to see your sort here on this feminist blog.

This entire comment thread is like a masterclass in how Jez writers should handle mean/contentious comments. Finance came in strong, you did too, and then it all got sorted out in a witty and pleasant way. That’s the kind of community I want to be a part of :-)

Uh, not sure where you’re getting that from. Having studied IR in London (at a rival uni) and known people from LSE, it’s an extraordinarily selective school to get into with a really rigorous curriculum. Like, I know how much these people study.

As an aspiring lawyer trying to assemble a wardrobe for internships and interviews, where are some places you suggest to shop? (Bonus if they’re online and/or in the UK)

Ok I’ve got super narrow feet and I’ve been trying to find sandals for years. I tried making a pair but they say standard width only, so I’m worry my feet will slide around as much as ever in them. How soft is their leather and suede? Will this stop my feet from bleeding?
