Congrats! London is the best city on earth, IMO. Take advantage of all the free stuff, mainly museums and parks while it's warm! Holland Park is a wacky, lesser-known gem with a giant chessboard and peacocks; the British Museum has mummies.

May I ask what area of London you've moved to? I'm looking at places to rent with my bf and we're tempted by bigger flats further out, but would like to know where to avoid- I've only lived in central and Holloway, and he's a pampered West London baby.
That sounds like a shitty and stressful choice to have to make, I'm sorry. Can you be any more detailed about how the NYC trip was 'scary'? If it's a truly unsafe situation that could lead to you getting hurt and/or jailed, no job is worth that kind of risk, IMO.
I'm living in an Italian apartment block and still getting used to the level of noise. Screaming children above me; the couple across the courtyard who love to have shouting matches with the windows open (complete with occasional sounds of shit getting smashed); the families above and below me who are doing…
What about those grey areas, though? When someone used to be more than a friend, but wasn't quite an ex?
