Depending on the airline, EWR is way easier to fly in and out of and more flights. It’s definitely got fewer delays than LGA.

I tell people all the time that LGA is the worst airport in that area because of accessibility. Nobody believes me so I let them experience it for themselves and then laugh.
I agree if giving the benefit of the doubt. It’s the intentional bad faith interpretation that’s the kicker. The appropriate response would be to acknowledge the gaffe and apologize, not double down. That seems to be so difficult for these types of loud-mouths to understand.
Thank you for the heads up on what DC haunts to avoid (none of which are surprising).
Why not do both or either, especially those of us who don’t have meaningful representation in Congress or are abroad?
I mean, it’s MXDC Cocina Mexicana by Todd English. That’s like the perfect place for her to be hanging out. Tasty appetizers, I’ll give ‘em that.
Yeah, but tell people that and they’ll scream that Obama and the Clintons were saints that never made really, really bad policy choices and allowed some horrific legislation to move through into law.
It’s nice to see this explanation! I actually think the judicial nominations process and attacks on an independent judiciary is the best example of the slow slide into a constitutional crisis. It’s a bare bones description of process in the Constitution that’s been supplemented by long-standing norms and have been …
The last one applies because it implicates Article III appointment powers as well as theories of the unitary executive (and the adjacent issues of pardon power and emoluments, etc.).
Now I feel bad for taking two yesterday—I like the backup since mine always falls off. The poll worker was seriously policing them, though. I sweet-talked her into it. Perhaps a shadow-entity is blocking the production of stickers to decrease voter satisfaction as a form of voter suppression.
She is no joke. I will never understand how the universe crammed so much awesome into one person.
I hadn’t learned much about the initiative until recently when I kept seeing it pop up on restaurant receipts and such. Then I started talking to folks and the coercive tactics from the business industry doesn’t really endear me to their perspective (especially when countered by workers who feel this change will…
I hear you. I think we have to be kind to ourselves about these investment/time choices and be kind about judging others for it too. We all hopefully do what we can in whatever way we an to make things better. I think about what kind of status quo I can live with and its impact on people not as privileged as I am. I…
So many great organizations doing fantastic work—all are deserving of donations and resources (both in this crisis moment and ongoing).
If we’re being pedantic about it, the assertion is to make one “funnier” which establishes that one is already funny.
Because the method used disenfranchises legitimately registered voters in significant numbers and disproportionately, which is the exact opposite of the purpose of the NVRA. Besides this not being an actual problem in Ohio, other states deal with this situation using least restrictive methods just fine without…
Totally agree. I didn’t have a washer/dryer in my apartment until I was in my late 30s. It is a beautiful privilege (in mega-urban cities). But not having common space stuff like couches and kitchen tables can be a major bummer.
The issue for me would be the expense of moving it later, whether it’s the time/labor or cost of movers. If the roommates wanted to go in on helping arrange/pay for that (precarious depending on the relationship), then leaving it is a much more appealing option.
This needed an altogether different kind of warning. You are destroying minds today!
I’ve been re-watching Eureka this past week, and I too am grateful for this warning. I didn’t even recognize him. I need time to prepare my mind for that.
