It isn't directed at you, but the same people who make this comparison parade Super Bowl TV ratings around without even thinking about how many viewers only watch the commercials / only watch because it's a big event / think Tom Brady plays on the Denver Broncos.
The word soccer was invented in England and what the British called the sport before ever calling it "football" ...... idiot.
Hockey players are so tough.
I'm from Philadelphia and there is no way they would have 3 host sites in the quad-city mid atlantic. Larger FedEx and MetLife would certainly be my choices.
a "Cute Kittens" twitter page has about 1000 times the following as this jagoff. I was going to insult him but then I realized no one knows who he is.
I forgot standings = win totals. My bad. I guess the fact that the 2001 Division Champion Mariners winning 116 games is no different than the 2001 Division Champion Braves winning 88 games. No real difference between a .716 win % and .543 win %.
I'm sure this was mentioned before, but Angry Video Game Nerd is a great channel on youtube. Stumbled upon it and watched all the episodes about the impossible-as-shit Nintendo games back in the day.
Phillies were 65-97 in 2000, 86-76 in 2001, 102-60 in 2010, 73-89 in 2013, and on pace for a 70-92 season in 2014.
I guess ultimately turnover is just a bad way to look at it. I'd be okay if the report was labeled as "turnover" but the entire allegation of "Bandwagon" is based upon only turnover and not other factors. I'm sure Heat fans would look great on a chart like this based upon the last 10 years (and 5 finals…
so how do you account for teams that have been bad for the last 15 years? What kind of win/loss variety do you get from. Also takes no account into actual attendance numbers. I think a fanbase with 40k during a playoff run and 25k when they suck (Orioles) is better off than a fanbase with 20k during a playoff run…
this is the kind of study done by someone who asks if the Yankees are playing in the Super Bowl this year.
My ass are Miami Marlins fans the 3rd most loyal...by the math they are because 10 people go to the games when they are 20 games below 500 and 11 people go when they are in 1st place.

cant find good quality. but.
Competitive Balance? I think the only realistic answer is eliminating guaranteed contracts, and that will never happen. Remember a lineup of Gilbert Arenas + Amare Stoudemere + Emeka Okafor makes more money than the Big 3 in Miami.
