I think one winning issue the Dems could campaign on would be Smartgun regulation- all new guns produced come with the same type of lock/unlock as a tablet or smartphone.

Although, Asians, Lebanese and many other non-white immigrants haven’t exactly done badly in the US, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

I wouldn’t lose a night of sleep if private citizens could own no more than a simple revolver or a hunting rifle, but it’s not going to happen any time in the near future.

Trump is a demented shit who has shamed our country beyond belief. And no,he has not unified anyone; rather, he and some of the key people in his administration appear hell bent on turning Americans against each other, turning the world against Americans, and otherwise creating as much domestic and global chaos as

Okay, I think we’re using the word “rich” pretty loosely here.

Yup, happened to me on both Gawker and Jezebel- I lasted several months on Gawker- two days on Jezebel.

I didn’t say that Black people don’t camp- only that Black people do not go specifically to national parks in numbers proportional to their 15% percentage of the US population.

Okay, I’ve met plenty of burners who are single temp workers, or who work at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, don’t have kids, and who save their money for Burning Man. They are not even close to being upper middle class, let alone rich.

Yes, they’re “white people things” from a Black American perspective, as are visiting Japan, taking a road trip around Europe, or shopping at Trader Joes or Whole Foods.

That was a pretty decent analysis, except for a couple of things. First, what constitutes upper middle class? I tend to see most software developer at Google and other Bay Area tech companies as being upper middle class, and I would imagine that those people are represented enormously at Burning Man. Rich, in my

No, it really isn’t a rich people thing. Sure, there are obviously some wealthy people who go to burning man, but 90% of the “burners” I’ve met are middle class, if that.

You have the same phenomenon in national parks. If you go to Yellowstone, Glacier, Smoky Mountain, you see almost no Black people- you see more Europeans and Canadians than Black Americans. The Latinos you see are often South Americans or Mexican tourists.

It’s actually the funniest rap video I’ve ever watched.

I was half kidding, because I once found myself in the Cracker Barrel in Charleston coming east on a long road trip, and thought the food was okay. The place was jam packed, on a Wednesday night.

Because in the central Appalachian region it’s considered really high quality dining.

Ten percent of Mexico is 100% white- Spanish, Russian, French, etc. Immigrants here are usually Mestizo, but parts of Mexico City look whiter than Berlin.

There is no anti-taco thing; this guy just made it up.

People drive a hundred miles from East Kentucky just to come to the Cracker Barrel in Charleston, West Virginia.

That’s pretty cool, actually. I suppose they don’t call it urban prairie for nothing.

Yeah, I actually think gentrification is overall a good idea- the alternative is almost always worse. But, it comes with invariable criticism.
