Yes, it probably is! One of my friends, a heavy smoker, has been commenting for years that he never dreams. When I read about REM Rebound, I asked him if he dreamed before his cannabis use; he exclaimed that he did and that when he began smoking pot heavily is when he stopped dreaming.
