there’s only two characters that come to mind when i think of Tom Holland: Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Rihanna Lip Syncer.

people say 9/11 changed audience tastes. after witnessing something so horrific and impactful in real life, fantastical movies just seemed so superfluous. that why something like The Dark Knight, with a “realistic” take on Batman, worked so well. it was all about dark and gritty and grounded. the real world got…
i think the next trend in Hollywood will be trying to recreate that Indiana Jones magic. they’re working on Indy 5! National Treasure 3 (and Disney+ series)! Brendan Fraser back for a new Mummy?! and while i’m not personally a fan of Sandra Bullock romcoms, The Lost City trailer kind of had some spark that caught my…
was it the same person who’s saying Tom Cruise is gonna show up as Tony Stark?
with a trailer that features Shuma Gorath and Baron Mordo, people still think Wanda will be the big bad? ever after learning her lesson in WandaVision? i mean, she is Magneto’s daughter, but hopefully they only bring in X-Men characters, and not the character arcs to save us from yet another a third act heelturn.
It’s gonna get confusing as hell for the audience.
Anyway, Hero vs Anti hero boils down to Do the ends Justify the Means. For the Anti Hero, the ends do, and that is why killing the bad guys is totally fine.
i think the difference between a hero and an anti-hero really just boils down to killing. irrespective of what has happened in the movies, Batman lives by a no-kill code. it’s one of the central identifying parts of his character. and if he ever does end up killing, he feels bad about it. i’ve been watching…
You can deconstruct him in a way that makes him an anti-hero but as I said, “for all intents and purposes,” he is a hero. He’s fucking Batman.
the site’s real job is the friends we made along the way?
flashbacks to “Darren Arronofsky’s gonna direct Wolverine 2?!”
to be fair, i think we’re only craving a low tech Batman because we’ve already seen Nolan’s “money can buy magic” Batman. had we only had a gritty detective Batman so far, people would be like “where’s his plane and all the cool toys?!”
i think the REAL question is how much collateral damage and bystander lives are lost due to Batman refusing to kill his enemies who are constantly escaping Arkham and killing innocent people over and over again?
deleted.
Nolan spoke to it on his first shot:
just like how some people like their Lincolns as Great Emancipators and other as Vampire Hunters.
i dont think that’s a hard and fast rule. Robin can work.
whenever it came time to pull himself together and respond to a call to action? He pretty much always did.
I hope this works. As described, though, it doesn’t sound very Batmany
Greenland needed to be directed by Roland Emmerich. it was definitely not explodey enough.
