i don’t suppose you’ve heard those Multiverse of Madness Illuminati rumors? but i’d take it with a Mephisto-sized grain of salt.

but i’d assume there is a lot of narrative overlap though, introducing a new paradigm of hero and a whole team of different personalities all at once. like i could imagine the response to the Ikarus-Sersi-Dane love triangle, driving some decisions they might make for Cyclops-Jean-Wolverine.

tbf a lot of superheroes have similar bland origins - it’s all in the execution. loved The Suicide Squad’s “oh, so you’re yet another guy who was raised to be an assassin and is good with guns...” joke.

err that’s what i mean. they could be using Eternals to work out any kinks before they go big with X-Men

what parts specifically remind you of Inhumans? i remember laughable CGI and a made-for-TV sheen being the defining characteristics. this one seems very cinematic.

if Eternals stumble, i hope it’ll be in service so that X-Men can run.

Nice. i was looking for a new show start. someone recommended the Ozarks as they said “it’s not over yet, but might end up being better than Breaking Bad” and i was skeptical but intrigued. didn’t even make this list though.

good point. i instinctually think of time travel via time machine rather than magic. perhaps in this one, Indy has to seal the Ark of the Covenant with all those spirits in order to save his past/future, then joins the Knights Templar and spends the rest of his days as the caretaker for temple where Holy Grail is…

i might just be an old fart now, but i’m having trouble finding any of the new characters as compelling as Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.
