maybe they could be pulling Venom up to the MCU’s level?

speaking of Scooby Doo crossovers, i had no idea this was a thing!

who says that Eddie says anything at all? he could be asleep on the couch while the TV plays something showing Tom Holland. got to see it first.

FINAL SCENE OF NWH:

the Nowhere Home trailer has already connected the two companies’ movies.

as big of a role Holland has played in the MCU, people forget that his checks are signed by Sony.

on the flipside, the film version of the Venom/Eddie is so far removed from the comic version, they could go wherever they wanted, shoehorn or not.

i mean if you told me in 2016 that the best Spider-Man movies would have a hot Aunt May who knows Peter is Spidey, an MJ who is not Mary Jane Watson, an AI suit voice, and a best friend sidekick, i’d say you were crazy. yet, they made it work. i’d imagine whatever crossover Venom and Spider-Man have this time will be

i didn’t realize there was such lore behind Twisted Metal, let alone fans of it. i mean it makes sense, i just never really gave it much thought. i just remembered crazy characters (remember the guy with giant wheels for arms?). however, considering this will be a TV show and not a movie, there’s a lot of running time

Considering how little Spider-man has to do with this version of Venom, it’ll just be a fisticuffs match between two superpowered beings like we’ve seen thousands of times

Unless the MCU has been secretly planning for this all along (at least since the signing of the Sony-Disney deal), I can’t imagine them destabilizing their long-term plans for this phase of the MCU because they can now dick around with Venom, Carnage, and more baddies that Sony still has the rights to.

These are consummately dumb and disposable characters, all shock and violence and no substance.

i always thought the Venom movie would have fit well in the Amazing Spider-Man universe. but if the rumors are true and Garfield (and Maguire) show up in NWH, then it’s all just one big stew that we could theoretically mix and match i guess.

but somehow the movie made a bazillion dollars.

not the entire movie. you could show up late and save yourself an hour or so.

What the movie did is they cut out this character development but just jumped ahead to when Flash was the host and renamed him Eddie. You lose all this context that shows how a number of characters developed over the course of 30+ years.

Perhaps one of the coolest new camera features is support for macro photography with a minimum distance of 2 centimeters, which should definitely appeal to a certain type of photographer.

my theory is that the latency issue isn’t fixable without a hardware (and price) upgrade, so they just left it out. it’s a better look to present 1 thing perfectly, than 2 things with tradeoffs. but after enough requests for that second thing, people will accept the tradeoff.

i’ve never heard of anyone using their switch exclusively as a music player. why not just listen from your phone?
