i believe the Inhumans were under the direction of Perlmutter (as his pet project) and not Feige. so even with a different cast and budget, it would likely have been doomed. one of the leading thing going for Eternals now is Chloe Zhao’s touch, and an Asian female director doesn’t seem like something that would’ve happ…

For an MCU film (and trailer) it feels like something is missing. 

are the Inhumans still a thing? i actually didn’t watch the show, but did they actually cross-over? the movies have yet to acknowledge the Inhumans at all. maybe the Multiverse of Madness can make a joke of this to clean up the timeline. 

i think it’ll be fine since the Eternals are Marvel, and they weren’t in the Bible. the evangelicals only get offended if you mess with their characters or canon.

nope, they were major theatrical releases with full marketing budgets. just OP’s point about non-memorable remakes.

tbf, i don’t know of any good sword fighting movies these days (sorry, Star Wars ain’t it). i haven’t watched the Witcher, but heard there’s some good fights in that (is that how Cavill got the role?).
