perhaps, but Captain America has been crushing it in popularity for the past decade. i think another reason that Superman isn’t as big these days is because Marvel’s successful re invigoration of Steve Rogers has filled that void.

i think you just proved OP’s point. the concept of Superman is universal, but specifically the superhero with the S on his chest may not stay around. especially now that there’s so many alternatives.

though amusing, i don’t actually think they would actually mix FF and Knight Rider like that. however, a very real possibility is that the star of Knight Rider appears as a new villain in a future FF movie, then becomes part of the crew in the sequel after.
