the ironic part is that people make the case “you have to watch it in a theater to get the full experience”, while a majority of Academy members cast their votes based on streamed viewings. if watching the movie in a theater was that important, then Academy members should be mandated to watch all nominated movies

just as Christopher Nolan intended.

from reading the headline, i thought this would be some story about how a mother and father developed some kind of hearing device for their deaf child from home using spare parts, and i was going to make some comment referencing A Quiet Place where Jim does the same thing for Hereditary girl, but alas, this was not

well there was the theory that all of the Episodes are stories being told by R2-D2, since he has always been around.

yeah you got 60 people crowded together for a couple of hours, standing in rows, all breathing in deeply, and projecting their voice outward. even without anyone noticeably sick, it sounds like a powder keg. you just need one asymptomic, juicy-speaking* person in the middle, and boom, you got a problem.

i dunno. enough hand sanitizer to last everyone for a year is still a shit-ton of sanitizer. especially if we get to place where lockdown is over, but the vaccine is still in progress, causing people to go out more, requiring more hand santizer usage. let’s say the average consumption for a person is 1 gallon a year.

i did read somewhere that warehouse work can be conducive to social distancing more than a typical office, because you’re working in a large space with less human to human interaction and hand offs.

and that’s the saddest part. the kids these days should be playing Kylo Ren. they fucked up.

technically they’re not, but given apple’s track record, they don’t often backtrack like that.

i don’t see a back of the phone Touch ID ever happening. they didn’t spend all that money developing Face ID just to go back to Touch ID on the X.

here’s a nice diagram

i believe his approval rating has increased during the pandemic, looking at the site below since mid-march.
