never understood why these droids make the beep bloop sounds. they’re sophisticated enough to have personalities. why can’t they just be programmed to “speak” multiple languages? it’d be a simple software update. makes more sense than when Luke was using a display an readouts in his x-wing.

once they set this up, they can cheaply add on all of their other divisions to further coax fares from competitors.

would they invent some kind of standard protocol for the way autonomous cars from different manufacturers interface with each other? i would assume you wouldn’t want your kia to only talk to other kias, you’d want it to talk to every other car on the road. is there a way to make money off that?

Kia and Hyundai are pretty big players in the car game. and as more and more big companies throw in their hat, the overall game speeds up. maybe the 2030 target assumes a future where GM, Toyota, and Ford are all pushing autonomous cars. that could very well be a world with different laws and public opinion.
