Yet one of them survives without taxpayer dollars. As in having people who will voluntarily give them money instead of having it ripped out of their pockets.
Although I guess it kind of makes sense that they want to make civilians responsible for their own safety, considering that they’re making it clear they don’t think the police should bear that responsibility.
Any increase in gun licensing, training requirements, fees, taxes, insurance, etc. Only serves to limit low income families from defending themselves.
Again, because you’re apparently slow, guns are not solely designed to kill humans, as the poster was claiming.
You had me until you put your “(racist)“ in there. Most gun owners are not racist, except in your imagination. You do know the gun control movement started for the sole reason to keep them out of the hands of blacks, right?
Right, persecuting people you disagree with.
That’s not the “express” purpose of a gun. Don’t be cute. It weakens your argument.
They aren’t expressly Constitutionally protected either the way guns are. So there is that.

I think that (depending on your child) you are closer than you think to a time when you can introduce them to target shooting. I’ve had my oldest around at a few outdoor shoots since he was 3. A good gun safe is literally bomb proof.
Considering there are one million possible combinations I think it’s rather safe (no pun intended) to say that a child of mine is not going to guess the combination. Thanks for your concern though.
Absolutely take them target shooting. Showing kids first hand how guns work and the damage they can cause is incredibly valuable. This gives you a great chance to teach them about gun safety so if they do stumble across one on their own they know how to handle it properly and keep everyone safe. They also will…
No kid or adult is going to guess the combination to my safe unless their profession is safe cracking
Keeping the gun out of your house is pretty stupid advice, and just another example of how much lead is still in our water supply.
