meh, seemed like he fixed the issue pretty quick and didn't struggle all that much. Been a while since I drove stick, hell I might even do the same thing!

I'm really not sure why you said they had trouble driving it...did I miss something? Seems like he hopped in and casually drove down the street playing it cool... was he supposed to do a burn out down the street?
