My grandfather bought a new Bronco II, either an ‘85 or ‘86. He died a few years later, and it sat for about 6 months. My parents aren’t car people, so I was tasked with getting it cleaned up & ready for sale. After an oil change & performing some other deferred maintenance, I took it out for an Italian tuneup.

“propensity for immolation”

This is why at work we’ve moved over to TPMS sensors that also measure temperature. You can get advance notice that you’ve got a dragging brake, bad hub, or maybe a tire that’s getting too hot a lot sooner than your trailer burning down.

This will probably get lost in the sauce here but I’ve used Reliable dozens of times shipping cars back/forth across the country for folks. They’re one of the best in the business next to InterCity Lines and the folks I’ve worked with from Reliable have been great. Kind of sucks to see them get this kind of press.

Must be their new Ferrari competitor as both have prancing horse badges and a propensity for immolation.

Planning for almost two months of almost no business is not a normal economic event, even deep recessions don’t do that. And yeah, not every business is wholly successful, some are struggling, and some are impacted by this more than others.

Bill Gates simply wanted the better electric car with an actual interior. Not the model 3 deprivation tank.

The 928 was designed to replace the 911 initially due to concerns over the rear engine layout becoming outlawed.

You are not accounting for inflation... the Boxster/Cayman is the modern day “944" entry level car.

Lol not happening, the Boxster already costs the same as the 944 did accounting for inflation.

Eh, I bought a used HHR six years ago, and that thing just won’t die. Makes a good little daily driver for work, and I won’t feel any guilt about driving it until it just gives the hell up. Also, it’s got more room inside than the PT, and a fart’s more power.

I’ve often wondered why Chrysler never made a 2dr hatchback (hardtop) version of the PTC. Should have been easy (and maybe even cheaper) since the convertible already had the proper long doors and the “B” pillar moved rearward. Small cars always look better with 2 doors rather than 4 anyway.

As the owner of a PT Cruiser. Its a perfectly acceptable vehicle. It is not fast (in non-turbo flavors), and it doesn’t get stellar gas mileage. I will say though they are quite good in the snow, especially when you put on even a cheap set of snow tires despite only being fwd. And while back then people complained

I was telling my wife how that first Infiniti FX was so cool BECAUSE it sounded like the G35/350Z. Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought this.

Yeah I’m not quite understanding the hate either. When the 350Z and G35 first came out, the VQ in those had what I thought at the time, was almost a European-esque exotic exhaust note even under light acceleration. Even the FX Infiniti’s had the same exhaust note which was interesting because no other SUV of that time

I can’t say I have any experience with these cars at drift events, but I always thought the g35 coupe sounds freaking amazing. Am I wrong?

I got that, but the fact that it took at least 4 trips by your description before the seller got the car ready to start, on a 12 year old car which is notoriously fragile and expensive to fix, was a flag so red you could lead a parade in front of the Kremlin with it!

You have to be a special kind of self hating masochist to buy an 182K E60 M5.... IN THE BRONX! Or just dopey. Were you the only one on the planet who did not know how that would go?

One test consisting of no driving because it won’t start was a fairly major hint!
