New decree if I am ever PresiKing: NASCAR ‘stock cars’ must be sold on the lot in homologated fashion.
Oh, I never said I wasn’t proud of it. I just simply said that to normal people who could mostly care less about cars, it isn’t worth the time trying to explain it when they ultimately won’t care after they walk away. I honestly quite like the fact that it isn’t over the top and shouty. It’s a sleeper. It’s one of…
I think this is awesome, and for an older Maw Maw those steps would be on fleek
THIS! This is the first mention I’ve see anywhere of the stairs and I agree with you. I can’t believe everyone else is glossing over the foldout staircase.
I agree, I like it quite a bit and I think the giant gull-wing doors are kind of cool looking. I mean, come on, it’s a concept car, not a production model.
Love every single part of this car except for the steering wheel
I’ve gotten to the point when people ask if my SS is a Malibu or Impala, I just answer yes to both questions. It’s just easier that way.
It’s not unique enough in the looks. Every time I think I see one from a distance and it ends up being an Impala or Malibu
I really want to like this car. But bland looks and imo a terrible interior can't justify the price.
They only sold 2895 of them? Those are like Ferrari numbers. Then again, given the car’s steep price and bland looks, I guess the figure makes sense.
I think you’re in good company. Yeah, it’s big and probably inefficient, but it’s also quite pleasing to the eyes. Everyone I know seems to like the design, even if it’s derivative (from a company Ford once owned). It’s nice. I’m looking forward to the production version.
If they build it exactly like this I will be pleased because they will have done something their own for the firsat time that I can remember. Sadly it will probably end up being a mashup clone of other company’s work like their other products...
Your not in the minority. The writer intentiaonally dropped this turd for clickbait, I hope. Very cool concept. I wish they would do the doors on the production model, that segment could use something different. The shame is the previous Navigator never got much love despite its bespoke chassis, suspension, and motor…
Just pointing this out... If Rolls-Royce’s new SUV had the massive gullwing door and accordion staircase, Jalopnik and the rest of the automotive press wouldn’t stop fawning over it.
Its not without reason. Lincoln deserves all the hate for producing concepts like this and then pumping out complete garbage. They have amazing ideas and absolutely no guts to go implement any of them. They are far worse than pumping out boring cars like Acura because at least Acura makes no pretense about producing…

That is not a fair statement.
