The Gear VR headset has it’s own gyroscopes and accelerometers for better head tracking, as well as a multidirectional touchpad. Cardboard only has a single button.

It has lenses, a touchpad, good motion sensors and is far more comfortable and well built on top of that when compared to Google Cardboard. It’s worth the premium, if you have a Samsung phone. I disagree with the idea that it’ll make VR mainstream, though.

I will wait on line to buy this for my Note 5. Which is the best fucking smart device ever made, BTW. Everything an i6 is with a pen too.

Only supporting certain Samsung phones still means this will not “change everything”.
