At the very least no one countered toxic masculinity. For it to get to this level they likely bolstered concepts of female inferiority. That in and of itself is doing something. Whatever happened to him doesn’t have to be a sympathy inducing sob-story. But no one is born hating women.

Dude. I’m not trying to excuse it. I want to know what led him to view this woman as property to the level of kidnap, torture, and murder. Because we all live in a culture of toxic masculinity, but this is next level shit. And I want to know how and why it affected him to such a horrifying degree.
