I'm a longtime Jezebel reader and first-time (hopefully not the last time!) commenter. I did it specifically to respond to this posting about my former friend Doe Deere. I won't give away too many details, because I don't want to "out" myself.

I rest my case.
It's a spectrum!
Promiscuity sounds exhausting. How do you juggle all those partners? I was briefly involved with a poly lady and (seriously, not to be judgmental!) she had to like, keep a schedule of when she could see all of us. That seems like way too much work! (EDIT: I'm also pretty disorganized. So.)
I think of it as more like commiseration! I've never thought of it as misogynistic before, that's interesting. Don't you think that patriarcal ideals are what force people like Beyonce to present such a perfect face to the world? Jay Z's allowed to be one ugly motherfucker (no offense, man, really) and Brad Pitt is…
In other news, seeing that Bey has some lines and bumps makes me feel, honestly, better about my own face. Which might be messed up! But my relief that she looks like a person with real skin and not magical always-smooth perfect android skin sort of makes me think that it is still important for people to see…
"Women were created from men," says Zach.
Fun fact: the US and South Sudan are the only 2 UN members who have failed to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a treaty with the sole purpose of protecting the rights and well being of children (Somolia, another hold out, finally caved). One of the things it prohibits is subjecting children (whose…
I am a working cook, as well as an instructor at a culinary school in Canada. I regularly reference BCO in class, trying to prepare my students for the unbelievable fuck-wittery waiting for them out in the 'real' world. These poor kids have no idea what awaits them...
Yeah, I don't like it either but honestly with what these people have gone through...if it even gives them some nutty sense of new age symmetry or whatever and they can take some comfort out of that I can't be too judge-y about it.
Yes. This poor girl never got a chance to escape her mom's shadow. I mean, I'm sure she was very loved, but ... eegggghhh.
i need to stress to you that calling a newborn obese might actually be the stupidest thing i have ever read.
Maybe you get get over your superiority for a minute and be happy that Mom & Baby are alive and well. Or continue to be a misanthrope. They're so much fun.
did you just fat shame a baby
False. Unless he's an ass who believes urban legends.
Yes. He is the person who deserves our sympathy here.
Calling a newborn baby obese is pretty judgmental; it kind of sounds like you are blaming the mother for the size of her infant. And some women don't get their periods regularly and so would not notice a pregnancy until it becomes visibly noticeable.
How can a newborn baby be obese? WTF are you saying?
Are you really fat shaming a baby?
That baby is bigger than human baby Ariana Grande.
