I got off social media last year. I’ve decided my child will not use it as long as she lives with me. She may try, she may succeed, but I'd rather fight this fight than succumb and let her be thrown into a cesspool of low self esteem, stress, and inappropriate content.

I used to have a very severe allergy to tree mold (I say “used to” because I am nearly a decade into allergy shots and my allergies are 95% better now) which were mostly triggered by decaying leaves in the fall and on warmer winter days (freezing and near-freezing temps deactivate the mold). It got so bad that a 45

I vaguely recall once seeing a Fox news segment where they brought in a body language expert to analyze the pictures of Obama’s staff discussing the raid on Bin Laden’s compound. There was something about Hillary’s body language conveying weakness, and the generals were the alpha dogs in the room or something. I don’t

I saw Newt and Calista eating lunch at a good Thai restaurant next to my family many years ago in Tysons Corner, VA. And yes, his cabeza looks even larger than in person! I threw my napkin in the air and it started to orbit Newt’s head.

As a Philadelphian who voted by mail to avoid the line, I’m hoping Fetterman’s winning margin will widen as Pennsylvania continues counting mail-in votes. 1.6 million Pennsylvanians requested mail-in ballots this year, and about 70% of those were registered Democrats.

This... certainly generated a lot of engagement for a $2,000 ticket!

Yeah, then have fun cleaning a bunch of shit out of the filter (which most folks never do) and then unhooking the drain tube that leads to your garbage disposal to clean that road to Satan’s anus out every so often with all the food particles one was too lazy to pre-rinse in the first place when it could have just cut

I don’t know if its emotional attachment so much as there is always a bowl that had oatmeal, or a knife that had peanut butter that didn’t get prerinsed and is not fully clean after a cycle in the dishwasher.

That was the “tl;dr” of my own comment (not the article) for those who didn’t want to read the whole thing.

That “tl;dr” was a one sentence synopsis of the user’s post for anyone who didn’t want to read the full three paragraph response. That’s honestly the only way I’ve ever seen “tl;dr” used, aside from as a pithy response to let someone know that you didn’t read their wall of text. I’ve never seen it used as an admission

Honestly, I’m not getting the comparison. Jolie has a crazy good reputation. Aside from the Jennifer Aniston bit, which, a case could be made that Pitt is far more at fault there actually being the one in the relationship, Jolie’s reputation is pretty immaculate compared to what Heard’s was. Heard and Depp both had

I think the business model cannot exist without exploiting workers. People are too reliant on cheap foods, which can only exist if food service workers are completely abused.

I’m delighted to vote for Fetterman this fall.

I’m kind of under the impression that they see women as breeding livestock. The US has some of the worst maternal mortality rates in the developed world, but they haven’t done anything to try to reduce those numbers.

Whenever states ban abortion, even in the case of the mother’s life being in danger, I think, “That doesn’t make sense” because they’re removing a person who could have additional children from the population.

Why is this a video?

I am officially old. I have a varied and deep Spotify. I have acres of physical-media music. I play guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, and piano. I have a 20 year-old son and a 17 year-old daughter; both of whom have deep music collections.

Why aren’t white people supposed to be talking about this? I’m really asking-I keep seeing allusions to this and I don’t understand why something that happened on the Oscars is off limits to white people, who are mainly the people who watch/attend the Oscars.

“Ivanka” works for me.

I feel bad for people with the name Karen at this point. I’ve only ever known cool Karens. I think it should be changed to a very uncommon, but more sanctimonious sounding name.
