Well. There's a difference between "lacking" and "not pursuing".

I think it really showcased the crucial importance of interesting and well-utilized supporting players.

They could have it if they wanted to…these are actors (and good ones*, who get along and work well together). But that was not where the storyline went. I am fine and glad with that!

I liked Klaus. Cade hasn't been given nearly as much fun to do and I doubt he will. But he is definitely cool to look at. + Accent: CHECK! So fingers crossed.

YES! All have been called Damon's best friend at one time or another, yes? I'm looking forward to some resolution, even if tossed off, for Alaric and Enzo who missed out on the fun in ep 10… do we think they will bother?!

Totally. I think it is a shame that people think romantic and/or sexual love is the apex and only validating form of love between two people. Romantic love is super awesome and important but so is deep platonic love. Partnerships of a different nature but one is not superior to the other, you really need both

Yes, they still treat her like an afterthought. But this episode addressed this to some degree! May they keep it up.

She is THE MVP. It shouldn't be a secret!!

They definitely took the separation of Bonnie and Damon to an extreme, though they justified it, and my guess is it probably had to do with the extremity of their fanbase, it probably wasn't necessary to punish *the story* to put them in their place.

That would be the WORST possible decision, but I guess they are on a roll with these so I'd better brace myself.

After delivering that line about Elena, Paul Wesley may as well have just winked at the camera. Cuz, yeah. We knowwwwwww.

Well, I got the impression that the witches were also being heralded here as the sort of indigenous real founders of the town (which was kind of cool news to me because I'm not a from-the-start devotee of this show) therefore Bonnie ought to own/rule all.

Yes, what the hell? I wondered this, too…

Bonnie's magic/psychic powers…at least we are finally talking about them! And her shade on the Eiffel paperweight…go back to school, Bon, you will have plenty of papers to weigh down. #research

And Caroline was not interested. :P

I agree! I'm not sure this was totally on purpose from the writers' POV, but it really came together nicely. I think people forget how much time they spent together in S5 after Enzo died and was bugging Bonnie to bring him back, before the prison world happened and their frenemy tensions really got going in that one

There are so many reasons to feel bad for him and forgive his often questionable social skills.

He's a very justified "devil", though.

I don't think so. A product of racism, maybe?

Is he even humanity-less really?! I guess his actions say yes but his demeanor/personality is not that different that I can tell. Oof. He is kinda terrible as an actor, y'all.
