I think we’re going in circles a bit. I don’t believe you can “like” someone if one of the parties is being deceitful.

As I said in my previous reply, the physical assualt elements can be charged accordingly.

Women’s bodies are “inherently sexual” in the sense that their secondary sex characteristics are evident. Perhaps “exclusively sexual” or “sexualized” would have be a better descriptor for the objectification women are often subject to.

I think there can be associated charges for the physical injuries sustained outside of the rape. That would be assault and battery. So to that extent, those injuries are covered under the law.

I want to add that you are advocating the EXACT position pursued by the MRAs, which makes me think you may be one. Basically, their position is that a woman has to be fighting to the death to prevent her rape, otherwise it is not rape. That is why they believe those 1 out of 4 woman have been raped number is false

I’m loathe to seek moral equivalency in a discussion of rape and consent. If you have intercourse or sexual relations under false pretenses, you’re not really consenting. You’re being raped. The assailant has premeditated the rape and falsely constructed a narrative and situation in order to avoid having to physically

Rape by deception is real. This IS rape culture. Why is fraud okay with respect to accessing a woman’s body, but if you did the same with money or property you’d go to jail?

It’s odd that the sex positive movement is so focused on male pleasure, almost exclusively, and the degradation of women, isn’t it?

Great, so it literally takes the threat of a terrorist death to stop sexual harassment.

For now “White House Intern” works just fine.

They’re really selling relief. If you’re looking at a big selection of products, it’s ideal to know which works for your condition or symptoms. I’m not terribly upset by this.

I’m into all kinds of holistic and herbal things and I would never, ever consider having my spine “manipulated” by anyone. It seems straight up medieval to me.

I would insist upon this in my next serious relationship. My ex husband loved to air our dirty laundry publicly, and would pick fights to do so.

This sounds like the trailer for a horror film. “How far will you go for health care?”

I like the visual of you mailing in your iPhone with your insurance premium payment stub.

I feel like there’s a business idea brewing here. Bubble boy outfit?

Meanwhile, “good people don’t smoke marijuana.”

I think “moody asshat” has always been a thing. Don Draper and his treatment of Peggy comes to mind as a sort of classic, albeit fictional, example.

Isn’t that a good 90% of porn these days? Easily? Most porn is rape in the sense that the female actors are basically being paid to pretend that they are not in pain. Literally, that is what is happening. A man is injuring a woman, she is being compensated to act like she is enjoying it.

Those experiments showed me that social science experiments are often utter bullshit. Not to get into it too heavily, but let’s think about the type of person who is going to volunteer to sit around shocking someone. Or, as they likely put it, “participate in a coercive psychological experiment.” Further, the
