#1. I know I’m being pedantic, but that isn’t what pedantic means.
There’s a MASSIVE difference between asking for “everything”, and asking to not have less than you did before, when UPS wants to reduce healthcare coverage and retirement benefits. Granted the union will fight that, and that’s what they’re there for.
On point one; I don’t care about motorcycles, it’s not what I come to Jalopnik for. I don’t read articles about motorcycles. It’s not tough to skip articles you’re not interested in.
If you do you lose your pension.
One can only hope.
UPS drivers are well known in my area. they are conscientious of WHERE to leave packages, side door vs front door etc. We so much appreciate them going above expectations. Fed ex...not so much. And Amazon...ugh
Who raised the generations of worker that somehow think that they can equally negotiate with large corporations and do a better job than collective bargaining? Oh that’s right, my friends that hate their at-will jobs that they work all the time at and for low pay and no benefits. (sure this will get nasty comments)
Who’d have thought that treating employees like living, breathing people would result in better performance. Mindboggling!
Fortunately the union will hold a lot of the cards, as not even the most ghoulish of corporate ghouls can deny that their unionized workers are taking UPS’ chief rival out to the woodshed.
FedEx Ground is the worst. Their contractor model is horrendous and doesn’t give the contractors any incentive to be at least a quarterway decent at their jobs. I remember the PS5 and XBSX fiasco where a bunch of them were stolen by FedEx during shipping. And sneakerheads know the anxiety that comes with their grails…
Costco gives you nitrogen for free.
Man, the marketing people really pulled a fast one over consumer’s eyes on that.
I’m about to leave my job and I’m getting my company car in the deal. When I first got it my boss told me it took SP98 (the premium stuff, I dunno the name in Freedomian) and I’ve been doing it for 3 years now (don’t care, not me paying ^^)
But as I’ll soon be paying, you just prompted me to actually check, and my…

BMW’s come straight from the factory with turn signals.
Stop signs are optional if they have white borders.
They are great for the price, but if you don’t have a large SUV or something for storage, having to pack the camper trailer and unpack it requiring it to be set up 3 times for a trip gets annoying.
Funny thing is, the family and i do our camping together in a pop-up trailer. It’s not hard to deploy and it stays put once it’s up. I like it.
A few years ago you could get a decent tent for less than a grand. Those days are over. At $1000, it’s pretty compelling if you want to take a few kids with you. The main reason is that when you have to pack a tent, and kid stuff, and pads, and blankets and etc etc...its adds up both in volume of stuff and the time it…
