I’d love to trust your information but since this is on the Internet (and I can't see you) I can't be entirely sure that YOU aren't a boa constrictor trying to trick me.

As a fellow teacher, I agree with you. No guns in the classroom - not in my students’ hands or mine. Mind you, I AM good under pressure and I’ve handled guns numerous times. Furthermore, I’ve survived two different incidents when an unstable teen put a gun to my head, and one where a student threatened to beat me up…
Right? I mean if someone who survived the 9/11 attacks claims the best way to prevent terrorism is to stop all Muslims from entering the country or whatever, that doesn’t make them not a crazy bigot. What this guy went throuhh was horrible, but he’s still a delusional moron.
Teachers would have more responsibility than a security guard and make less money.
As a teacher, I can’t see any possible outcome in which teachers aren’t blamed for not doing stuff right. If you shoot the attackers, you turn against some of the kids you teach. If you don’t shoot them, you fail to protect your students. If you didn't bring your gun of great justice to school that day, you're…
As a teacher, I do not want to be forced to carry a gun. I’m not good under pressure and would probably be useless in that sort of situation, scary as it is to think about.
I think you’re conflating a couple of things - first, Hillary has never said “elect me because I’m a woman” - she has said that her gender is relevant to her experience, which is honestly not that far off of what Obama said in 2008 about his experience with race (google it).
Unfortunately, I think there is some overlap. Some of the misogyny directed at Hillary reminds me of “hipster racism” wherein a group hides their prejudice by claiming that they are “just saying” but lolz because there's no way they could ever be racist/ misogynist.
Except they are not both “a little different from the status quo.” A Jew in the White House would be “a little different” - like Kennedy being the first Catholic. A female President would be monumentally different. This not like comparing Honey Crisp and Red Delicious, and to pretend it is, is actually showing you…
I think men should stand together and vote for Clinton, if she’s the Democratic nominee. Although, only insofar as I think people should stand together and vote for the most liberal candidate who remains, come the general election.
Maybe he could have just not said that he’s not calling for men to stand together.
It’s the difference between punching up and punching down. EVERYTHING is made for white, straight, cis men. So they don’t have to rally their communities around anything, because it’s all just...theirs. By default.
Same here. Even if you dislike Paltrow I don’t know how you cannot feel sorry for her. A man who has been stalking her for years and threatened to kill her was basically given a free pass to keep doing it. Anyone who has been stalked - famous or not - should be terrified by that.
It’s all those feminazis who simply cannot take a compliment from a nice guy! They need to SMILE more and relax, geez.
Hey, do you suppose if either Mandy Moore or Gwyneth Paltrow is physically assaulted or murdered by these stalkers, we’ll have definite evidence that the stalkers were, in fact, stalking them? I bet millions of women file fake stalking claims all the fucking time, honestly. It’s right up there with false rape…
Unless he’s soon to be 13, tell him no because that’s supposed to be the age limit for facebook. I’m all for using the parental controls to block the app and the mobile site. I try not to judge parents because I am not one but I give a serious side eye to some of my friends that let their 9 year olds run loose on…
Thank you for sharing the article and thanks for the support. My online support of Hillary has mostly gotten me lots of harassment and hate slurs like (bitch or feminazi) from bernie’s supporters, so this is a welcome and nice change.
I used to be a “head is for Clinton, heart is for Sanders” Democrat until I read this:
Being a sore loser and not conceding when he loses, shit talking the organizations when he doesn’t get their endorsements, stealing campaign data, whining about the establishment when he almost exclusively gets positive press and now constantly changing the conditions after agreeing to them - it’s Bernie’s world…
It’s also your placenta’s fault. That’s what my doctor kept reminding me when I would get upset when my sugars were not in control.
