Might I suggest a Ford F150 Lightning in blood-of-the-lord red? I haven’t heard reliability horror stories on these, but I imagine it’ll satisfy the ridiculous factor. Currently going for $9,999, and I bet that reserve is right around 10...
I mean, opinions are like assholes, and the E30 isn’t ugly, but the front looks a little busy (stock) and the rear is a little too boxed off and tall. Stance and blacking out some of the front does a lot for it, but it does for any car. The wheels look small on the body, but that’s typical of the times.
I think the E36 is easily the second-most handsome M3, next to the E46 - I thought the major complaints for the E36 were - horsepower, which really should be better, and because they’ve been cheap for so long, finding one that isn’t beat to all get-out.
Sacreligious as that sounds, it was in the cards for them at one point.
Whatever it takes to keep it away from the Nazis.
No. The old DP engine was a 5.5l unit based on the LS architecture, while this is a 6.2l engine based on the LT.
The old motor is 5.5L and LS based. This new car is running a 6.2L LT engine.

...we’ll always have Paris...
(wipes tears)
i’m sure some of those design elements will find their way into something else,
I’m going to disagree with this passage of snark, the ‘quattro’ brand only works if you’re selling cars off the back of 4WD racing cars gaining, which is what they were doing in the 80's and 90's via WRC, DTM, IMSA and later BTCC & STW.
Whatever the history of the Quattro name, it never made sense from a branding standpoint. Quattro is a better and more recognizable product brand name than a brand brand name.
VW extended that crowded house format to the W8 creating a compact and complicated mill. It was used in other applications...
I actually got it wrong, I didn’t mean the SZ2 (obviously, because that’s gorgeous), I meant the series 3 et 4 Spider with the cut-off rear end in black plastic, by which time I think the original design had become fairly ruined by safety regulations. Turns out the coda tronca is the series 2, and it’s still pretty.
You’re not doing it any favours by showing a phase 1 Spider in probably the ugliest colour. Now, a phase 2 coupé in red for example... Oh yes.
The Compass was the worst. People EXPECTED the Dodge compact to be shitty. From some angles, it looked pretty good, too. It also bore an SRT-4 version.
Just beware, upping the boost also reduces the lifespan of the transmission in these in direct proportion.
As pointed out in the article, if it’s an APC car, well lots of fun can be had then ;) Still, as a factory turbo, there are lots of options for upping the boost pretty easily.
