If I am calm it is only because I am taking the deep angry breath necessary to breathe fire.

I agree with the crossing the line bit, but I don't even blame him for his suicide. I blame depression and mental illness. When my boyfriend took his life, everyone was so damn quick to blame him...to call him a coward and say he was selfish and tell me how angry I should be that he just gave up. But, for me, it's not

Its not ironic that the same people who tell you that human morality is necessarily derived from a supernatural "ultra-purity" are the same people who believe that evolution is impossible.

Parents who raise their kids without religion are doing just fine, studies say, possibly even better.

My parents will be happy to know that a study says they didn't fuck up when they chose to raise us without a religion.

Morality comes not from a book, or a guy up in the sky, but from the idea that how you treat people matters, because how people feel matters. The Golden Rule.

My SO let it slip to his mom that we are atheist and we wont take our kids to church (if we ever have any). She's a sort-of christian, but she was worried the children wouldn't have a proper "community" to grow up in. I'm planning on doing more humanist stuff. I really really am not looking forward to all the

Yup. 26 year old here still scared to tell her mom she's (probably) agnostic!

I was raised in a Roman Catholic home, begrudgingly. I knew at 6 that I did not believe, but my dad wanted me to know "what it [was I was] rejecting."

Non-Religious: There is vast evidence that the universe is very old, and science backs this up completely.

Exposing children to religion not only makes them have a harder time to tell the difference between fiction and reality, but the constant prejudice in common religious practice just makes underdeveloped minds adopt a "holier than thou, and thou, and also thou" mentality even after post puberty. Every day education

This just seems like an obvious "duh" to me, but then again I think religion is the root of all evil. To each his/her own I guess.

Yes, why are a few parties here trying to whip up some mob misogyny? One would probably want to renovate a place where a suicide went down - if you know anything at all about suicide. It also seems to be the kids who had someone come into her house and begin to take things, which is why she responded asking the court

Not to interrupt the mob misogyny you've been trying to whip up here at Jezebel of all places, but one would probably want to renovate a place where a suicide went down - if you know anything at all about suicide. Google can be your friend. But even if you don't want to believe that nutrients are declining in some conventional veggies, there are other studies showing the amount of runoff from conventional farms that contaminates ground water, drinking water, etc. Truly organically grown produce does not damage our water supply

"The Center for Health and the Global Environment recommends choosing produce that is as fresh as possible. If you can't grow your own, look for local farms or growers. The center also notes that buying locally increases the chances of nutritional diversity and decreases the amount of handling, since local produce is

Yeah, mine is too. I wonder if all of this applies to vitamins or only the herbal supplements...

Me too on the migraines. I take Riboflavin and Magnesium. This really bothers me that I can't be certain I'm getting what I need. I think my Riboflavin is alright since I have fluorescent yellow pee.

Oh but they clean you out real good lol.
