It did already happen. I had to turn off the coverage after the (female) news reporter talked about 30 minutes in a dorm room changing their lives forever.

Your comment gives me faith in humanity and a renewed sense of purpose so I can do my own job.

My 18yo daughter chose to attend an all-women's school. Stories like this make me feel pretty good about her decision.

So I guess you've never heard of Steubenville.

Oh, yeah. I mean don't get me wrong, my reaction was:

Jesus baldheaded christ, that is so fucking wrong and sociopathic...! I'm so so sorry you had to go through that! It makes the blood run cold— to think of the things that people we trust will/can/want to do to us.

I think "justice being served" is something to celebrate.

Good for her. I'm glad to hear that she is able to move ahead with her life in a positive manner. I sincerely hope that the verdict in this case brings her some sense of vindication and closure. I know that there is still another trial for the two other scumbags who were involved, but maybe they'll plead out after

People feel happy in a scenario where people who committed rape got exactly what they deserved in a court of law. What, you think the rape victim isn't just the least bit happy her rapists will be serving time?

Are you implying that you hope these guys get raped? No one deserves to be raped, not even rapists.

I'm hoping for the harshest punishment so these two are made an example. Rape culture is getting out of control in this world, and it's harsh sentences what we need in order for people to take rape seriously, likr the crime that it is.

What's not to understand? The number of rapes that occur in any given country is in stark contrast to the number of rapists who actually end up in prison.

Here's the thing: any time you try to legislate something like this, it is impossible to account for all of the "legitimate" reasons (this, obviously, is a ridiculous concept) why a woman would want/need an abortion. Incest, rape, health concerns, etc often come to mind...but there are too many nuances, too many

Leading to the same question I ask of anyone working-class, middle-class, or a woman, or LGBT or really, any minority in the country, even those with money: How can you align yourself with these people who do not respect you, do not want to speak to or for your interests and issues, and take every chance to remind

Females.

"Gosh, we brought these females along because those darned liberals kept saying we were sexist, but now they're preventing us from taking away their fundamental human rights!"

This is so cool; I hope these people got mad tips! Also, San Antonio is one of my favorite cities!

"...those babies feel..."

In fairness, you'd have to say God changed his mind twice, since Joseph Smith inducted at least two black men into the Mormon priesthood. Somehow the slave-owning Brigham Young got that changed. (That no one questioned it for some 100 years is sort of telling about Mormons — not their views on race (which were

I'm sort of the same way (some places have gorgeous bridesmaid/evening gowns that are more fairly priced than The Wedding Gowns and are generally more my style/less poofy).
