The AV Club will apparently continue to talk up the 2016 Ghostbusters movie long after it has been consigned to the $5 bin of mediocrity by the rest of the world. And it comes off really defensive here.

I have never ever understood how people think “a 70 year old billionaire was facing spending the rest of his lifetime not only in prison, but as the lowest of the low, decided he’d had a good run, and checked out rather than suffer that” is a somehow incredible outcome.

The remarkable thing about all of this is that I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if you’ve abused women and have no idea.

Why are so many people who comment on a pop culture website so excited to announce they don’t know who a very prominent indie musician is? AV Club isn’t old pitchfork but it’s not fucking casey kasem’s top 40 either, go to YouTube ignorance warriors.  Oh wait...never mind not for this guy :)

Bryan Cranston, also gave his thoughts on Cancel Culture recently, and said things along the same lines. I might be out of line here, but to simply note that sometimes it can get out of hand seems reasonable enough to say, right?

the terrible Duran Duran song

Okay but you said the Duran Duran song was terrible. I'm not going to defend the entire movie - I go back and forth on it constantly - but the Duran Duran song is fucking great.

Not liking A View to a Kill, which is probably the BEST Bond song, makes me disregard everything else you had to say.

If you are calling the duran duran song “view to a kill” terrible, well... your comment is invalid.

Really, people don’t like the song? I always liked that song and I didn’t like much pop in the ‘80s.

the IRS rate has nothing to do with how much money you actually made. it has to do with how much of your income you can deduct from your taxes as an expense.

the takeaway here, is that while you are a fucking idiot for driving for a rideshare company effectively full time for a net income of ~$18k a year, you are also

The costs are definitely higher than most drivers probably realize, but if you’re at all smart about it, it certainly isn’t a money losing proposition like this article claims by using inflated tax writeoff rates.

Tax income does not equal actual income. That 58 cent per mile assumption is going to be way higher than actual expenses for your car because it’s based on averages for work vehicles, most of which are big trucks/vans, not a tiny cheap sonic. Your fuel cost is probably ~7 cents per mile. Your repairs at 6K over 50k

Then you haven’t read the fucking articles that are linked. Nobody is fighting to get their movies in theaters. Shit Legendary was exploring a deal with Netflix. It’s About WB unilaterally tossing everyone’s contracts in the trash (including the people who put up the most money towards budgets), instead of

Why?

This is the thing where we rewrite one person’s fairly normal music taste with our own fair brilliant (if I do say so myself) music taste and then hope someone else notices how much more brilliant our music taste is and tells the whole world we’re actually rad.

Is this the thing where we act like fairly normal music taste is unspeakably lame and possibly sinister because it’s made by a cringy normie liberal or something

“Why isn’t this older man with an incredibly busy and stressful job familiar with every our incredibly niche favorites!?”

I just had this problem a few months ago in my shower's drain. What worked for me is using baking soda and vinegar to clean the drain pipes, cover the drain and avoid using it for a few days for the slime to dry up and the eggs to be eliminated. Refrain from using the drain within a few days as the eggs will hatch and
