Exactly, publicly the studio will tout the positives but behind the scenes people will be less than thrilled.

Love you for this!
It’s doubtful anyone will consider this movie a success. It had a big opening but not nearly the blockbuster they hoped for. By the time they figure in promotional costs this film will make a modest (by Hollywood standards) profit, but it’s not going to rake it in. There should be some changes on the horizon for the…
The actress was no longer available, the story points for this season were already scripted, that’s how episodic tv works. They needed the AI in play, so it either needed to be in Lexa or a new Heda. Sure you can dislike the story the writers came up with, but at the end of the day; the show is the show.
A rain stick is a great meditation tool, how else are you going to reflect deeply on your poor life choices, like shopping at Free People.
In the sense that it would have been untenable for her character to just vanish or be only spoken of while off screen; yes. Based on the current direction of the Heda/ commander arc they needed a present Heda. I'd have loved for that to be Lexa, she was a complex and strong character, the actress got another better…
It would be nice. Apparently getting the woman who plays Lexa back was a huge effort, she didn’t think she could but they bent over backwards so that they could wrap up her story. We all know how that worked out so I doubt it will happen again. (I don't have any inside info I'm just saying maybe brace yourself.)
I still try and comment over there because I don't want to be pushed out of space I considered to be comfortable/safe but it's dicey.
100% co-signed on all points and it makes me sad.
I hate to break it to you... he’s in the exact same situation as the woman who played Lexa.
Happens to the best of us, your points are all good and it never hurts to reiterate.
It makes me sad that the older guy is wearing a Detroit Tigers hat.
I'm aware of all these things but thank you for reiterating them.
I think she also script doctored this.
Foster to adopt is just a term for a program it has no legally binding status. Plenty of Foster to adoption placements don’t end up in adoption for a myriad of reasons. My concern is that any time there is a high profile case like this people get scared and decide “Domestic adoption might not be for us.” leaving kids…
The state doesn’t always do the work their supposed to. In common practice they put the cart before the horse, they’ll place kids who aren’t yet adoptable into the system on the assumption that all the hurdles will be cleared which can lead to heartbreak for everyone. It’s not uncommon for prospective adoptive parents…
Many news articles contain different information and interpretations. I’m not supporting the Pages actions, only pointing out that the foster care system is different than a Foster to adopt program. Foster to adopt placements can be riskier if you’re looking to adopt and people know that, but people vilifying them for…
The footage of those random nut cases screaming into the car about how they love her as she sobs is gut wrenching. I can't imagine the heartbreak on all sides but as a parent of any kind your first job is to protect your kids no matter how you feel on the inside. If that means swallowing your own grief and putting a…
I'm not a fan of how they handled this situation but I think it needs to be pointed out this family didn't sign up to be foster parents. They were participating in a Foster to adopt program, those are two different things.
The biological father is currently in prison I believe? They tried to work out a deal but the other family was not receptive.
